I feel cheated. (I'm not over it.)

I just got a 4* dilemma that dropped replicator rations. I hate this. It happens with too much frequency and is completely unpredictable. It does not always happen on the same dilemma, and jumps between choices. If it were avoidable, I wouldn't care. But it isn't. Several of my most recent 10 hour voyages didn't drop any purple crew. I have thousands of rations I will never use, but the honor (or rare possibility of a needed 4*) I can use. Please remove these annoying drops. At least make them predictable by making it a specific choice in a specific dilemma.

Rant over.
Thank you.

  • Don't feel cheated, wait till you do 20-30 hr voyages and get mostly crap like I have. I only do it if and when I have enough recovery and it starts getting buggy after 20 hours

Once again I've been cheated. This is maddening. This newds to be fixed. A few replicator rations are worthless. The chances of a useful 4* are not good, but the honor is worthwhile. This needs to be fixed. I'm putting in a ticket any time this happens after this.

Something seems buggy. I remember that happening to me one time in like the past 4-12 months. I almost always get the SR. I can't remember not getting the SR except one time after reading the initial post here for the past year. I won't rule out that it was possible, but it certainly didn't happen twice in less than two months. I would have remembered that.

You are averaging 1 replication ration a month, Feb, Mar and now Apr. Personally I don't think that's an issue. If it was every other voyage then fair enough. Why not count how many voyages and dilemmas you complete before you get a repeat.

I’ve noticed an increase of rations where a 4* should be given and I am equally annoyed by it

Happened to me twice in one voyage. This is getting out of hand

Yeah that's something that I'd agree should never happen.

Some of the two parter dilemmas give higher instances of replicator rations and schematics on the second dilemma if you follow the chain than others. Learn which ones they are and avoid the choices that give these. Best you can do since I don't think TP is inclined to remove them from the drop table.

For the random rations/schems from non-two parters you could always smash your phone against the wall. It's a solution to consider.

The point is that rations are an unlikely drop on the dilemmas they chose. But they keep getting the rations anyway. WRG released a feature that essentially discouraged replicator use due to credit requirements in the new game feature. But they left the rations in voyages. If there were options that guaranteed one outcome so you could avoid the other, then it would be less frustrating. That's not what they did, though. Players are frustrated. As long as it's done respectfully, the forum is the place for expressing said frustrations.

It happened again to me the other day. I don't post every time it happens. I realize it is a minor thing. I realize it is infrequent. I realize people don't want constant negativity. I also know that I have lost a bunch of interest in this. Little things like this that are completely unpredictable and take away something I actually want. Everything else can be predicted. Don't want schematics? Don't choose such and such. Really want a certain crew? You can get it for these bad odds. Want a 4* card from a dilemma (other than the exclusive)? Ha Ha Ha ha. Maybe you will get one, or maybe you'll get something you didn't want and can't avoid. Ha ha.

Guess what, TP? You are annoying. I have slowed considerably, but am so invested that I will continue. But I would never recommend this game to people I actually like.

Were you going somewhere with this?
  • That is truly bizarre. I've never had that happen. :/

It happens too often. I don't bother reporting it anymore. I've stopped spending and cut back on my playing. It seems a silly thing, I suppose. But I'm not planning to spend again until I have some surety that I will get what I expect.

I thought this was over, but I just got another tonight. Just when I was considering spending again. There are many aspects of the game that are obviously designed to be a small chance of something good with a large chance of turds. We accept this. But voyages are generally known quantities. If you get lucky enough for the right dilemma, you get a small chance for a useful 4* or 200 honor. But this is an unpredictable turd in the otherwise predictable voyage. This really irks me.

And yet again. I had this same one and made the same choice a couple days ago. This is why no one trusts this company. Everything else is predictable or has odds laid out. This has no odds and is not predictable. Why should I fight for better voyage Crew if I'm frequently cheated out of the rewards?

I'm lucky, have not seen it yet. Getting a lot of trainers in gauntlet annoys me more.

I agree that is annoying. But it is expected. This is neither expected nor predictable nor avoidable.

I've had a particularly dry spell on purples from voyages of late. It's even more irritating that since the portal update, I'm getting more recent crew dropping which I have FF already. I'm finally getting to send voyages that last 10 hours, and my last 3 have returned 2 "purple" dilemmas, and 1 of them gave me replicator rations instead!

But it is expected, luckily it's more rare.

I believe the myopic thinking of the people who run this game is nearly inconceivable. Why is it that they push you so hard to improve your crew and then punish you for doing so with replicator rations? I suppose this may have been good when the game first started, but it is absolutely worthless now. Do they really want me to renew my monthly card (which I got again for the first time in a very long time to buy extra valor) when they punish improving crew by giving something so horrible? A 2* crew is more valuable. It boggles the mind that the game designers can be so foolish. It isn't as if this is a new thing. They have had a very long time to ignore it and intentionally leave it the way it is. Myopic thinking that will lose them money. Unless they are sadistic (unlikely), there is no benefit to this for them.

It happened again. Multiple times, actually, since I last posted. And it usually happens just as I consider putting money into the game once more. Boss Battles have given a better access to honor than the 200 from a dilemma on a voyage, but on a voyage there is a remote possibility of getting a crew that would help.

So I once more put in a customer service complaint. I am not requesting any compensation. I am only requesting that they pass on to the powers that be how annoying this is.

I think we all need to complain whenever this happens until they fix it. Because they certainly don't care about us, but if we all complain when this stupidity happens, then there is a chance they will make an adjustment. Even if that adjustment is to make the drops predictable, it would be an improvement.

There's no reason to have any replicator rations drop anywhere, ever. Even as a brand new player, I was able to get more than enough rations just by destroying excess amounts of equipment to fund the few number of replications my VIP and level allowed.

Two months into playing the game, I was destroying trainers and ship schematics for replications. Now, I don't destroy anything because I've got more rations than I'll ever use.

I honestly believe they need to remove rations from all rewards after players hit level 20 or VIP 10 and above. Just set the system to not select that reward when RNG does it's rolls. We have plenty of fodder to make our own rations.

I'm not a fan of the rations either. And an even larger irritant for me is stuck voyages. Since the new Chakotay was introduced, I've had it happen three times (12, 16, and 30 hours). With that issue having been around now since Voyages started, my hope for a change to rations is quite low.

I get that those are effective for some players. I wish they would tweak it then to make it more effective for other players as well.
