Re: Credits Offer
It is entirely possible I just took everything wrong, and if so, my extreme apologies.
I'm curious, what about 800 makes it a target number? I'm up to about 700 myself, I think...
I only have 600 and only using 540 right now. I do have over 1,200 immo's so my freezer is quite full, saves space. If 800 or 1000 or 400 work for the way YOU play/collect then that's the right answer.
FWiW: A strategy I used in the first 3 years of playing was this: "judicious and frequent use of the airlock will serve you well in the long run"...
I am sure you will do well

So, the Nausicaan finally being released mean THAT Fusion Crew might finally be unlocked?!?!?
Re: Credits Offer
Like I just said on another thread, it does feel like there are a lot of 'haves' here, players who have done all their immortalizing years ago and don't remember the need to, say, turn around immortalizing constantly to keep crew slots freed up, who have been able to stockpile a lot of resources because they don't have that daily grind anymore to spend them on, that are awfully unsympathetic to newer players who are still in the middle of that grind and their needs.
IMO this is a biased, inaccurate view. If there is a divide among the players it is between those who spend and those who do not, historically nobody has done more to benefit all players than the "haves", who unlike any other game I have ever played have embraced the idea of teaching people to fish rather than giving people fish.
Re: 2024 Convergence Day Object Event - Free 1/5 of each crew just for fusing the SRs in each mega
We're getting point values that would be 'top 100' any other time, and still aren't enough, because everyone is after these 5-stars to get them for this event.
This isn't true. For last week's Galaxy I would estimate about 2500 trophies would get you into the top 100. Normally I would say its about 2000.
On top of that though there's an additional factor at play: Quipment. With Quipment I can reasonably expect to win 8/9 supply missions. 9/9 a lot of the time. Normally you can't do that with vanilla 4s.
This is also when I have to ask how much Chronitons did you start the last event with? I'm guessing not very many.
I started the Skirmish with 50K chrons. Wiped them out and let half my intel rot. I started the Galaxy with effectively infinite because I don't need to spend chrons during Galaxies. Got Top 500 both times.
Re: 2024 Convergence Day Object Event - Free 1/5 of each crew just for fusing the SRs in each mega
I was pretty shocked that spending 8000 chrons in the last event wasn't enough to keep me in the top 1500. That was way above average for how well I usually prepare for an event. That was an entire week of hoarding voyages I was dumping into a black hole, and I still slipped down to 1700th place in the last couple of hours and got nothing meaningfull for the hours of grinding like so many others.
I know the whole event structure is designed to get you to just buy packs if you can't compete, but it still **tsk tsk** sometimes when you do compete hard and blow many hours over a weekend and it's a waste of time. I'm at the point where I am just wanting to do the bare minimum for the rest of the mega and wait to buy some of the mega packs at the end instead.

That said, ChaosChild, I'm never looking to spend extra money (this event, and my affection for Tendi, being a special case); what would you suggest as an alternate strategy for getting there more reliably?

I bought five extra crew slots in the sale just before because of this oe. So they got me to spend 1500 dil too.

I'm having the opposite experience. I'm excited about the new oe crew. I've pushed and been more competitive in events that I would have skipped before. This oe has gotten me to play the events more just for the OE. I'd love to see more like this if the crew are good worth it.
Ben said years ago that they didn’t like players hoarding resources. Every game feature introduced since then has been designed to drain resources, just with a decent enough carrot to get most players to bite.
I do not feel my resources are being drained. Somethings I can spend pretty easily but others just sit there accumulating.
They should let us add a Replicator Ration Bazooka to our ships. Blowing up bosses with my ration stash would fix a lot of resource problems.
