Replicator request

I have NO idea how this would work, I'll be the first person to say I can't think of a reasonable way of implementing this whilst minimising the downsides.

I have reached that point in my attached career where all of my crew slots are full of unfused, L100FE crew. This means that my replicator uses can't be used, so I thought "hey, why don't I start stockpiling items such as 2* science experiments, or basic dominion padds".
If I had a crew member who needed these items, I can replicate them to my max uses, so long as that crew member remained at that stage. However, as mentioned above, I don't.

I would like a way to replicate specified items.

I am well aware of the logistical issues behind this. As I said, I have no suggestions on how this would work - I am merely expressing a desire for a feature I would find useful.

This is a fine suggestion. It can't be that complicated to implement either.

So what you need is a few low level crew that need the items your looking for. A phlox for medical experiments, a Jeevan for dominion seals and pads. Don't equip the items, just keep replicating copys.
