is the game down on steam for anyone else?

    It loaded for me but Steam was finicky so I suspect they might have some issues.

    It has been a bit slow since the update i got but seems to be working fine now

    hmm, it's completely locking up my computer now.

    apparently i was streaming from my laptop and it didn't like that. Also, was there an update to the game? The splashscreen looks different. Anyway it's working now thanks.

    Yeah there was an update, noticed that and one other thing in the starbase room where you now can see your fleet members Level without clicking on them. Glad you got it working

    Since Friday I haven't been able to play STT on steam for more than 10 minutes at time, at around 10 minutes after log in my computer goes into sleep mode or completely shuts down and this only happens when playing the game on steam.
    I deleted steam the problem still exist after reinstalling the steam app, after this didn't work I did few other things including security, malware scan etc before going to my last option, I did factory reset of my computer and the problem still exist with steam.
    Since early Monday I been playing game on facebook, other then the lag the game as not crashed and my computer as not gone into sleep mode or shut down once even after being log in for few hours

    OK, so I am glad it is not just me.... I was just coming to report this lol

    I just tried to log on through Steam and the game updated then it crashed. So, I tried again and it crashed again. Plus Steam, for me, has been taking an incredibly long time to log in for at least the last week...sometimes up to 5 mins.

    Same here. Pc locked up a few times. It's working now but not like it use to. Takes me several seconds now for me to look at my fleet. When I go to warp it says downloading files and takes much longer to get there. Equipping crew on a voyage is slower. This all happened after the update.

    Yeah this update is a dud for steam. It took several minutes to be able to scroll through my crew. Then I got a crash report after around 15 minutes. It's generally weird and wonky. The worst by far being the crew roster.

    I tried it again on my end, it went smoothly this time around.
    What are your computer specs?

    Shortly after making my first post on this thread I took another stab at playing STT on steam, my computer did shut down again and after turning computer back on I opened steam checked steam settings and disabled updates while playing games, been log in STT now for 2+ hours and everything seems to be working fine.
    I did try changing the steam settings back on Friday after this started, now i'm not sure if settings were not working properly or steam did some maintenance to fix the problem, either way the issue seems to be fixed for now at least for me

    OK, Update...

    I got it to work on steam and it is loading faster now.... what I did was just to click on "wait for Timeline.exe to respond" and went and made lunch.... [Deleted] never mind, I got it to work.

    Gave my PC an absolute heart attack, then froze it. Restarting didn't help.

    16gb RAM
    GTX 970
    Windows 10 Pro 1803

    Edit: Still giving my PC a heart attack, but not crashing anything anymore.
    Haha Edit 2: Still crashing, just later on in the process.

    Mine is a little better. crashed on trying to go to the new cadet mission. And there's a second lag opening crew roster where it is doing lookups for the equipment. But it's certainly playable.
