Will we be able to FF T'Kuvma for free?

In the announcement posted in the Starfleet Communications section is says this:

"For this month, the featured 5* Legendary crew for all events will be T’Kuvma, the self-styled heir of Kahless the Unforgettable from Star Trek: Discovery. Completing all four events throughout the month of October provides players a chance to fully-fuse this Legendary crew member."

The previous two mega-events didn't allow this unless you bought one of the packs towards the end that had the mega as one of the choices. Will there be a way to FF T'Kuvma for free or is this a misprint?

    Clarification on this would be fantastic so that everybody doesn't come burn down these shiny new forums three weeks from now because they unnecessarily used a citation on T'kuvma today.

    I wouldn't be surprised if they meant using the double up offer by the word "chance".

    Or another time portal pack where you have a chance but it's highly unlikely.

    That's kind of deceptively worded, if they are sticking with only offering a 4/5. It definitely makes it sound like you will get a fully fused character for doing four events.

    It's badly worded, but they aren't lying. Without earning at least 1 of the event T'Kuvmas, there is 0 chance of getting him FF, as it is impossible to get him at all shy of event rewards. Even F2P can eventually get legendary citations to finish the last star, so what they are saying about giving the possibility of getting him FF is not wrong.

    I'm not saying it's wrong, I'm asking for clarification on the intent.

    FYI, the post now reads:

    Hi all,

    Thank you for calling this out.
    The wording has now been modified to avoid any misunderstanding.

    As far as I know this Mega-Event will follow what has been done previously.
    T'Kuvma will be a threshold reward in all 4 events, and you will be able to obtain a 4* version of him that way.

    Should there be additional info about this, I will update this thread.

    I'm not going to bother immortalized T'Kuvma, as he may be one of the worst 5*s in the entire game (both statistically and as a one-off character). My immortal 4* Barak from last week will have similar stats to a 4/5 T'Kuvma.

    Doesn't say "Free". Would have been one of the times, you could buy the "Double Your Crew" Offers.

    Wonder why this resurfaced today?

    I think the key word there is “chance”. As in, there would be three ways to FF:

    1. DYC offer;
    2. 50k Honor for Citation; or
    3. Post-event Pack.

    Mine is floating in space (just follow the trail of all Discovery characters pushed out the airlock) and you are welcome to them if you can find them.

    Where did they post the odds?

    Loosely, 5*s drop at (approximately) 10% of the time from 10x pulls. Since he is one of 5 in there, I'd get his odds of getting specifically him around the 2% range.

    None of this is published or confirmed, just based on community observations.
