I thought this would be closer. By the measurement of the widow's mite, I lost this battle by a larger margin than any other 50/50 battle I've ever had.

    A lot of people fail to properly calculate the odds, they dont take into consideration the low number, or two lower skills beat a larger single skill, and get frustrated. I want to sort of a beginner's (or intermediate's lol) guide together I have been able to explain it to people elsewhere and they are more satisfied with the guantlet. Even Q reminds you everytime, it's a marathon not a sprint!

    Well in this case, the low number for both opponents was 0 and the high number for both was 0 yet there were 1’s rolled. How can you over or underestimate that when the numbers possibly rolled don’t even fit into what it says they should?

    C'mon now, I'm obviously speaking to general complaints that "my crew should have won!" Perhaps I should have posted this elsewhere.....

    You know, your odds were a lot better than 50/50. For a while, now, gauntlet ties have always been awarded to the attacker. In a 0/0 vs 0/0 matchup, it's more like 61% chance to win.

    Are we playing a Casino slot machine or are we playing a game that is suppose to be geared to enhance those who put time and effort into their starbase. If its run like a slot machine then the Gauntlet is as it's suppose to be, if its not a slot machine then this aspect of the game is very fouled up at times. Just my opinion, of course some of you will pipe up saying TROLL. :)

    Not a troll. That is well reasoned and said. But this IS a casino game. It is all about odds and stoking people who tend to be addicts. We all know it and are ok with it since it is so much better than other things we could obsess over.
