The current snowflake politics in today’s society shouldn’t dictate what content is shown in games if the game is depicting content from the Star Trek franchise.
Star Trek has always been a very liberal entity & if the writers were ok to dress Kirk & Spock in Nazi uniforms on the show back then, then I’d see no reason why they couldn’t be displayed today.
But if it is an issue to some who maybe offended & missed the overall message from the show then yes by all means hide the fact they appear to be Nazi soldiers like the did with Colonel Karr.
Well, since Polywater Yar asked Data if he was "fully functional" and he replied that he was and that he was "programmed in multiple techniques", it would be canon.
