For The Empire! Klingon Collection

Kind of got around to working out what a Klingon Collection might look like.

There are 57 crew in the game with the trait "Klingon" and while some of these (Klingon Neelix, Janeway and Dukat in particular) are questionable these only account for 5 or 6, which would still leave us with over 50. The Vulcan Collection is 41 strong and does not contain crew such as Michael Burnham who technically should have the Vulcan trait.

Anyway, here it is.

They have demonstrated that it is pretty easy to create new collections. I'd love a Klingon collection with a new 5* "Klingon" as a prize.

As there is a division between KE and KCA i think this should be reflected in the collection. Going further you could reduce anyone who has a dual allegiance e.g. Starfleet that would keep the collection suitably restricted IMO

I don't think there are too many actual KCA people in the game, perhaps not enough for a distinct collection. Just had a look at the wiki and this is all that's listed!

To make a Klingon Empire Collection we could remove any 'not true Klingons' and Federation Klingons (Worf and Torres).

It doesn't matter that there may be a lot of Klingons in a Klingon collection. The starting rewards can be low.

1st tier = 25 cronitons, 2nd tier = 50 merits etc.

I think the fact that there are so many might be why they haven't done it.

Even though it'll take forever to earn, i really like the idea of collections giving you special unlockable characters, like the holo collection gives you Lucille - this Klingon one could unlock somebody awesome like, oh, maybe this guy

Exactly. And they always can vary the reward thresholds. Like for 5 10 15 20 25 crew.... Don t see any issues here with collections that include a lot of crew.

I feel like most of us experienced players would max it out as soon as its introduced. DB probably knows that.

Prolly, but it's like a gaping hole in the collection stylescape that needs to be filled. Going from the other collections of that style there's not a huge amount in the rewards anyway. And it gives newer players an added incentive for some of the weirder, older Klingon cards that don't get much love.
