I get double everything chrono and all the goods. But how come don't get double experience points?

Because you don't get double experience points, roll the bones.

I'm not sure there is an answer anyone can give that will satisfy you as this is essentially a philosophical question masquerading as a game mechanics question, but experience points are not part of the doubling equation.
