Well first of ... it seems it's 15 now.... I assume I am probably not the only one that considers 0 incentives for me to try to place closer to 15 once i am past the 1000 mark ... literally there is no reason to try to place high. The effort req to place top 15 is enormous...

Except to maintain the top 1000, you need to get into the top 500, unless you can keep playing during the last 5 hours.
