What's the deal with the Scanner thing?

Says "99" on it, and you cannot Scan........

    Screenshot? The scanner seems to be working normally here. Also, have you tried turning it off and on again?

    They did say in one of the Q&As that they were looking at revamping the scan mechanic...

    Back to normal, now. Well, says "1" on it any way. Try it at midnight, for a chore 1/3
