Episode 8...

I have access to all Galaxy missions except "The Killing Syndrome" aka Episode 8 . Does this unlock at a particular captain level? I have undiscovered missions I need to complete crew....capt. Lvl 40

You need to play through all of Episode 7 before you can access Episode 8. Just clearing all the starred nodes on Normal difficulty should do it.
