I’d way prefer that little critter peering out of my crew quarters. Or let us adjust an avatar manually maybe.

    They could just introduce the avatar the same way they've done with the Holodeck enthusiasts, and with the Niners collections...just create a Data/Android Collection, and people who complete it receive a Spot avatar as reward.
