Jury Rigger Collection - Liason Torres

Currently most of the Torres variants have the Jury Rigger trait already, however Liason Torres - who is an older version of the same Torres the rest of the cards who have Jury Rigger already - does not have that trait. Did she forget how to be a Jury Rigger?

Jury Rigger collection seems to be the hardest of the collections.

Definitely. Don't you need five 5/5s to finish it? I still need 5 lol.

I finally got my 25th card in hand, but I'm 6 short of immortalizing that set. Lots of Legendarys that wait for their friends.

Yeah, and there's some pretty meh 5's in that list. In about 5 years I'll have begold-booby-prized my way to the extra skill points :-)

That said, I'm surprised it hasn't been remarked on that with a spate of the recent new event 4*'s, DB has allowed us to complete or almost complete most of the final skill boost collections with super-rares only. That's a pretty nice development. I'm hopeful that with patience Jury Rigger will be in that category too ...
    Accepted. Mark them, Galt.
  • The thought behind this crew is that at this point in her life she's no longer jury-rigging technology, but she may be discussing engineering as a part of her diplomacy and liaising with the Klingons.

That makes sense. On the other hand if, for example, a new 2* or 3* (or even 4*) crew happened to have the jury rigger trait I suspect that might be ...er..welcome B)B)

  • That is the only one of the original ones I have left. I still need 9 stars on 4 legendaries to finish it!

This is despite the fact that I feel that engineering is my best covered skills with more immortalized legendaries with that as a primary skills than any other...

I kinda want to push back on that, it's part of who she is as a character. LIke Admiral Kirk and Admiral Riker, they didn't lose their Maverick or Gambler traits just because they were promoted and got older, and Ambassador Spock retained his Astrophysicist and Exobiology traits as well.
  • Further, Captain La Forge is a Captain now, but kept his Cyberneticist and Innovator traits.

Fair enough, except that I think jury-rigging is a both a combination of learned skill and engineering-related resourcefulness.

She hasn't lost either of those in her older age, even if she's not actively doing it, the others aren't exactly mid-upgrade on something either.

Anyway, it's worth reconsidering especially now that such a trait holds greater importance.

Would be a positive thing for the players.

Cue the "Positive thing!? But I spent honor to immortalize blah blah blah so I could complete that collection! I demand all that honor back!!!11!11#$@!!!" nonsense.

Lol, there's always that **tsk tsk** regardless of what you do. Nothing'll please them, don't waste your life trying.

I thought this Scotty ^^ was completely useless until I started using him in the Arena... ooooh boy I don't find him useless anymore

As people have brought up, there are some inconsistencies with traits in the game.

I don't have a simple solution for the overarching discussion, but I'll kick this request back to the designers and see what they say.

Can you also check on the Blood Oath Jadzia Dax thing? She was said to be getting the "Klingon" for a long time now. {All the other people just "dressing up" get it. Yet, BOJD was Godfather to THREE Klingon Families, and actually went AWOL for Klingon Revenge.......

This Scotty has not missed an Arena battle or Skirmish event for me yet. I can never justify citing him, but a begold star to pump up his early Accuracy (gravy alongside his passives) would not be unwelcome.,,

I stopped trying to wrap my head around trait assignments a long time ago. Some traits seem to go with a character inherently, while other times it is dependent on the role of that particular variation, with seemingly little consistency.

Yay, a new Torres.... WHO ALSO DOESN'T HAVE JURY RIGGER
Nooooooooooooooooooo! I will never finish that collection. I have finished most of the others but am not even close on that one. Seems like she and Delta Flyer Paris should have jury rigger trait as they had to fix the Delta Flyer when it was sabotaged.
    Let’s fly!
  • Anyone remember when Torres forgot to be an engineer in the future? No, no one else?

Yea me either, and I was reminded that .. four years later she still doesn't have the trait.
