View player profile from transfer request

I don't know if this has been requested before but I went through several pages of this forum and there wasn't anything that I saw like it.

As a fleet admiral, I get the transfer requests in. The message basically just says "you have a tranfer request from "XXXXX" and buttons to accept or deny. I can see the name but it isn't clickable. If I go to the fleet screen and search for members, if the name is unusual enough, I may find them. However, looking for a Captain Picard who wants to transfer in is useless, and there is no way to respond to an incoming request directly from that message.

It would be helpful if that name in the request message could link you to the screen where you can review the player's level as well as a way to DM them.

Additionally, it would be helpful when someone is trying to join a fleet to have the admiral identified. From the requesting perspective, they have no idea who the request is going to unless you have already chatted with them in-game, or via one of the other recruiting methods (forums, Discord, Reddit, etc.)

I'm bumping this because I would like to add to the request. Instead of linking to a standard DM that often disappears if the other player doesn't read it quickly enough, I would like to be able to send a "message" that will stay in their inbox until they read it.

This is a great idea! I lose conversations because they simply vanish

    Great ideas
  • I'm not an Admiral, I've only been playing for just over a year so have nowhere near enough experience to do so but maybe one day I will be and after reading all your comments and seeing the pictures I completely agree with you. Something that should be straightforward seems to be a nightmare. Hopefully one day if I promote myself, this would all be sorted out. Good luck

Best to you in your future Endeavour, Chief. 🚀 ;)

i would agree with this request. not being able to ID these random transfer requests is frustrating and continues to reinforce the idea that recruiting within the game itself is terrible.

  • I suppose I can't let this idea go. My fleet never just accepts any player that applies for an opening. Someone, often me, interviews them first to make sure we are a fit for their desired playing style. Given that the only way I can find someone in-game is by searching for them and hoping they see the in-game DM (usually never), it would be better if Admirals could reply to a transfer message to go directly to the actual transferee.

As it is, it often looks like this:

For those many that choose obvious crew names, it is very hard to find them, especially as the game will serve up those names GONE for years....
