He's gonna be pissed!
So apparently, the unofficial name for "Max Your Crew" is "Bylo's Offer".
Because you can buy/get 90,000 honor(5 citadations + min 500 diltihium) instantly(without saving from dismissing crew and daily fleet goals) and cheaper, exactly HOW?
Exactly, everyone has different priorities and are at different places within the game.
For me, this deal effectively read "Get 5 crew slots and 500 dilithium plus 750 bonus dilithium" for $24.99". Additionally, in the process of immortalizing crew with this I passed an achievement milestone so I got another 750 dilithium.
Perhaps for people who have been playing for years this deal is not useful, but for people who have been playing for a relatively short time, this deal is awesome! All those 3/4 FE event crew we've had forever taking up valuable crew slots are a real problem, and this offer specifically addresses that problem. It is great!
I don't disagree with you. I would sooner airlock a FE 3/4 before I would spend $5 to freeze one. I value dil by monthly card rates and I consider the regular price of dil the "ultra-premium, gotta have it now because instant gratification" price, so to me it's like a dollars worth of dil at best.
Now, however, I have fewer 4* crew in need of additional stars and many more empty crew slots. I am more willing to pull a few event packs for each pure Faction and Skirmish event to get those 4th stars, and even the promise of not having to wait forever to FF the three-dilemma voyage-only crew I have wasn’t enough to get me to pull the trigger. Such is the nature of subjective value.
Agreed, my criticism of 99% of the offers is they provide worse value than a monthly card. They're great for people spending more than a monthly card ever month, but for people on a monthly card or only occasional monthly cards the deals are never worth it. The only deal I've seen that was better than the monthly card was the New Years Eve deal that had 15 packs + DIL for $10.
That's kinda the same logic as the pay-day loan lenders! ;-)

The ripoff is the actual price for superrare citations.
If you ever buy them, you realize this offer saves that honor you spend.
I said I would not buy this offer, but I did buy one because of the above reason.
Now I just refuse to cite superrares. So now.i do not buy this offer. But for those that do they are basically saving 90k honor and some crew slots.
Congrats @ByloBand
This deal offers 500 dil. That's only 5 days of the monthly card. If you think it's a good deal, then buy it. I was just pointing out another perspective. I'm a "best bang for the buck" kinda guy, and imo, this isn't it.
Not necessarily. For someone looking to spend nothing at all other than time, even the monthly card looks like highway robbery (see also: proud VIP0 people). For someone who has a ton of disposable income and chooses to spend it on this game, perhaps the only “bad” deal in the game is the price for a 5* crew in the faction stores.
There’s also the fact that payday loan places offer a specific service to a specific group of very high-risk borrowers and have to charge incredibly high rates in order to not be run out of business by people defaulting on their loans. Nobody here needs dilithium now or they will get evicted from their apartment or not have a vehicle to get to/from work. The closest comparison I could maybe think of was that ridiculous offer when Astrosciences Sulu was released. 11,000 dil for the *chance* to get him...then again, it was priced so high that even people who fell in love with the card would only take a shot at it if they had a huge amount of disposable income to blow on the offer.
You can mention this wish 1000 more times next to the 500 times you already did, lol, but it will not happen next week or the week after etc. At the end of last year DB offered nearly all of their deals as 50% off. Special sales for the special time of the year.
Something along those lines will first happen again on black friday or, exactly, at the end of this year. Deals like that all the time and, surprise, surprise, no one would buy the regular ones, lol. Quite obvious really. But you constantly flooding the board with your cravings is yet another typical Apollo
Yes, and different people value time differently. For some people the immediate value is worth the price premium. For other people they're willing to wait for more value. All I'm saying is for people who are willing to wait DB does not offer deals that they view as more valuable than the monthly card.
2 monthly cards for $5. You'd have to wait 60 days to get all the DIL. For someone who needs a card now they won't be interested, but if someone is not currently spending on a monthly card that could be a very tempting deal. So it may not be tempting for the people spending $100+ a week, but there are people who would buy it and aren't buying deals now, so it's money DB is leaving on the table.
It was a good deal but one I had seen before. Dont know if it was a special deal or not, just one I got along with the others. As I would buy it and not other deals that is $25 more DB could have. But if my asking for it annoys you maybe it will annoy DB and then they will give it to me again to shut me up.
Heck yeah, keep at it, and keep hope alive! When that offer finally comes back, we'll all call it the Apollo Offer!
You are right. I may regret not getting this again.
Second, we still do not know if Cheesecake Seven is a merge or not.
Since my friend convinced me to give the Forum another chance, now I can say "YAY, YOU!!!"
Yeah...... please can we stop the Cheesecake Seven. It was funny and amusing the first 2 days, now not so much.
