Suggestion: New room for starbase

I was thinking on how to maintain the daily fleet chron bonuses after room completion. One thought I had was a new room, a Chroniton Accelerator.

After construction, it could act as a material sink. You could toss excess materials to still allow for the daily turn-ins. As a result, the room could accelerate the Chroniton recharge rate. We currently get like 1 chron every 6 minutes. After submitting x of anything, it goes down to 1 every 5 minutes thirty seconds. If the room can still be upgraded, add levels reduce more, maybe down to 4 or 5 minutes per chron.

There would be a daily threshold that it would need to be fed, or the bonus could be lost for the day. Daily goal should be a relatively easy to achieve value. Feeding the room would count towards Fleet Starbase dailies.

  • I like this idea! Anything that would act as a material sink to continue to claim daily chrons.

    Alternatively, we could have an arboretum which we keep having to fill every day to maintain the plants.

    (And holoemitters shouldn't act as a near-impossible barrier - so either it's not necessary to use them, or their drop rates should be fixed to resemble that of the other components.)

    I think shuttle bay should be added with 6% bonus knocking 30-45mins of a shuttle journey at 3hrs scaled down to 15mins off a 1hr/1.5hr shuttle
  • Another possible room could be the Antimatter Storage Room this would add a small amount of antimatter to Voyages. It would be great when it was fully upgraded.

    Not wanting to bash on ideas, but these seem far less likely.

    Honor is flowing more than it used to already. Voyages provide both honor and crew that convert to honor. DB had stated that honor is pretty much right where they want it.

    Given the fact that this is basically what shuttle boosts do, it also seems less likely this would be something implemented.

    This seems more likely. Given the fact we already have a chron bonus, a small boost to starting antimatter isn't that farfetched. Something like +25, +50, +100 (3 levels) similar to the chron boost isn't going to seriously break mechanics, but does provide a small extension to voyages. Might even crank those numbers up slightly higher (assuming 1 - 1.5 minutes is roughly 30 chrons).

  • Dont know if this would work but, with the voyages, if you were to recall with 1000 a/matter left, maybe the a/matter could be used toward the time for return journey - say 1 hour bonus for 1000, 45 minutes for 750 in a decending scale ?? thoughts ??

    That is a good idea, because sometimes you can't wait for the last AM until recall because work calls, and then after 2 hours you have a small break where you could get your voyage rewards. The normal recall time after 7:30 hours is 3 hours straight. If you still had 1000 AM left (which I had many times), the recall time would recude to 2 hours straight, which would be meowsome in some cases. :)

    So both a bank of storage you can use and then another room that gives a buff per voyage.

    That could keep us busy for a few weeks upgrading.
