As hinted at in another thread, I had an idea for how to spice up Tuesday this week, so I decided to cash in a copious amount of merits...
...by buying 20K worth of merits pulls, and taking screenshots to document the ride! Presented now for your enjoyment, let's get this party started!
(This is going to be posted in 4 parts, so PLEASE hold off comments until I publish the fourth part)

After the 28th pull I had spent just over 20K merits. I was still 200 Honor short of 50,000 so I opened a bonus Continuous Exploration 650 dilithium pack.

I was unable to assemble and immortalize "Dark Ages" McCoy as my 3/5 FE copy is currently on a voyage. Under normal conditions I'd just recall the voyage to immortalize him for you all to see but as luck would have it my current voyage just passed the 4 hour mark and has had Champion of the People parts 1 and 2 as the two dilemmas, so I hope you understand why I chose to leave it out.
And now, the main event, here ladies and gentlemen is why we were pushing so hard for 50,000 Honor, I present for your approval...
Thank you for going on this adventure with me today, I hope you have a good time You are now free to comment ,and thank you for your patience.

Yeah, now I can throw the campaigns 5* citation an Phoenix Cochrane to immortalize him for progress on two collections guilt-free, as BOTH of my citation projects got completed on the same day!
Congrats @ByloBand on your two new immortals. May you never pull them in a pack unless you want a second copy.😉
New goals. Two goals achieved in one day is most impressive!!
I have no regrets. I do a lot of thinking about long-term goals, I do a lot of research, I pay attention to my deficiencies, and I have a list of citation projects. If I somehow pull one of my immortalized 5* crew from a pack it won't bother me at all, I'll gladly use that 550 Honor toward my next citation project. Having a plan and trusting it is VERY liberating in this game
Preach it my friend!
Indeed. We may have different plans, but we have faith in what we decided.
1. Mariachi Q
2. Anij
3. Captain Kurn
4. Gralik Durr
Other 3. Nothing (all honor)
Normally, I get no 4* or 5* at all on these pulls. This is the first time I got so many 4*/5*'s on such a small sample set. Has RNG recently "loosened" up on merit pulls?
I blame @ByloBand
Even if you're right, that'd be one plus one plus two plus one, not one plus two plus one plus one.
Spider Broccoli is a good one for that.he cruises the galaxy on many of my voyages
Really, all I hope for is that you or somebody reading that got my reference to the film Clue
+1 for the Clue reference.
I just might have to unblock you.
Now on to Assimilated Hawk.
Awesome! I've had Mirror Stamos immortalized for a while and he is REALLY useful! You are really going to love that decision.

One of my favorite lines, where Tim Curry brilliantly rapid fires a ridiculous and faulty explanation about how many times the revolver has been fired!
Since campaigns started, I've been doing my own personal Staff Your Ship routine with the 4* portals - if I have 10 or more when an event ends, I open 10 of them and hope for something good. Had 11 of them after skirmish, so...
Yesterday:
Honored Owosekun (1/5), event rank
Gunslinger Uhura (1/5), behold in pack 4 (others: 1/5 Proto Barclay, 0/5 Aviator Yar)
Leonardo da Vinci (1/5), behold in pack 8 (others: 2/5 Rogue Kai Winn, 0/5 Defensive Phlox)
Today:
Delta Flyer Paris (5/5), citation
Data V (5/5), citation (skirmish was very good for my honor stash!)
Lucille Davenport (2/5), from DFP and Data V immortalizations
Quinn (2/5), from ad-doubling in episode 10
So many shiny new toys! Passing up Phlox hurt, but I just missed earning da Vinci in his event and this is the first time I've seen him since, so it had to be done.
And monkey's brains, while popular in Cantonese cuisine, are not often to be found in Washington, D.C.
Tuesday funday, indeed! 🖖🏻
I'm REASONABLY certain you made the "right" call with Leonardo. I can tell you this much, now that I've finished the two crew on top of my list, once I throw the next citation I have at Cochrane to finish him strictly for the collections, I'm moving on to citing up Leonardo myself, I don't think a day goes by where one of my twelve voyage seats doesn't have the "Prodigy" trait, plus his skill combo is really useful.
And you can trust that this advice is not a red herring
-EDIT-
I picked up a copy of Trelane a few weeks ago somehow, probably from a begold inside a 10x pack? He is still level 2 and likely will stay there for a while, but I as very happy to get him, he is a very memorable character
Even with the likes of The Caretaker, Leonardo, Ru’afo, White Rabbit, and Spider Barclay all immortal, Mirror Cochrane still gets frequent use for me. Gangster Spock is wonderful in the gauntlet but hasn’t made a voyage for me since the early days after voyages were released...I would be happy to immortalize him one day through beholds but not through citations.
Tuvok isn’t on deck as much for ENG/SCI but I only have him at 2/5* - he is, however, helping fill in a huge gap I had for ENG/SEC voyages before he, Saboteur Garak (also 2/5*), and Determined Janeway came around.
I don't know if the writers were intentional, but it is such a comedic take on Clint Eastwood's Dirty Harry...
I know what you are asking yourself, what does this have to do with Star Trek?
Well, to this day, people say the Dirty Harry bit to Andy Robinson.
And to this day, whenever I see Garak, I see the Scorpio Killer...
