I just started watching Galaxy Quest for the first time in ages. In the first scene, at the convention, there's a crowd shot that shows a Discovery-era Klingon.

What does it say that a 90s era makeup job—a makeup job that is purposely made to look amateurish—looks like the template for Discovery’s Klingons?

Discuss amongst yourselves.

Also, every time I watch Galaxy Quest (every few years or so) I notice a little touch or saying or whatever that I didn’t see in a previous viewing. It’s a brilliant, albeit respectful, parody. IMHO the movie doesn’t get all the credit it deserves.

I daren’t leave a comment on this. Even the mildest one i could make would have someone up in arms! Galaxy Quest is superb, very much like The Orville.
