Voyages crew position placement

I wonder if anyone knows whether it could possibly make a difference if crew are placed appropriately according to position for example delta flyer paris at helm, Uhura as communications officer, etc.

Voyages, not gauntlet. The only difference I've noticed is bonus antimatter if the traits match (+25 antimatter). This allows you more versatility when assigning crew though, as you don't need a pilot for your helm position or a med primary as your ship's doctor.
