just got a notification saying the event has begun. yet the ingame counter says it's still half an hour till start.

Thanks, Shan. I got the notification on Android. Same as a notification that went out for event packs before they were actually on sale.

Personally, I think it might be helpful to stop adjusting for Daylight Savings Time. That might simplify code. And I say that from the US. But if the adjustment works better for the devs, then it's no skin off my back.
