I have almost 150 Golden FE with only one star, why is it not possible to freeze them ??

Never gonna happen. If you are low on slots, I would recommend hitting a few with a Piñata.

For the record, I have 53 myself and keep the count lower by not competing for top 1500.

It would be nice if DB did that. Or if not 1/5, maybe 3/5 could be frozen?

Think this was suggested a lot already in the „Make it so“ section. Totally agree that it should he possible to freeze any Fully equipped crew, no matter how many stars, but i think the coding is the biggest issue. Not sure DB can make it happen. Beholds are affected by this as well, how will frozen but not immortalized crew displayed in a behold?

You will never be able to fully fuse them. And it's not that you are even in the REAL need to do it. In fact i think this is more a psychological thing that prevents people from kicking gold crew.
After i kicked my first couple of 1/5s it was quite a relief.
Nowadays i just keep only the ones i want to keep, be it crew with good stats or be it crew i like. Just dump the rest and collect the honor.

For me it is the rerun events where I could get anither star that stops me from airlocking.

150 1/5*s? Sounds like a lot...how much honor do you have? Do you spend honor on citations or beholds? Buy a lot of packs?

Seems like some targeted purchases of event packs or use or citations could help not only possibly solve any slot issues you’re facing but also improve your voyage/shuttle/event performance.

I am far more choosing in the events I try to win the character for. Most 1/5s are not that great stat wise so I only push if they are likely to re-feature or I just like the art

I do that and I still only have a bunch of 1/5s with the occasional 4/5 or FF from megas. It's not like airlocking the bad one helps. It doesn't help the psychology of not being able to complete a card as a moderate spender. Overall my situation crew wise wouldn't be much worse as a free player. That wouldn't be such a bad thing if everyone was in the same boat but it's not the case.

I think what makes it so annoying is to spend time and resources on events to get crew that will never be of much use, because they will stay at 1/5* forever. While I can understand that DB wants to encourage people to spend big sums, I still think that they could at least make it easier to upgrade old legendaries. It's not like anyone is going to spend money on them anyway at this point and most of them are perfectly useless at 1/5*, 2/5* or even 3/5*.
The same way new additions become available in the portal (and potentially in campaigns and Tuesday offers) after a certain number of months, they could add a new way (or a new kind of packs) to give people a chance to add stars to old legendaries. I can't really imagine that it would diminish their returns if they did this.

At this point, it's part of the game economy and strategy. It would fundamentally change the game if you could freeze 1/5's. Some who have purchased a boat load of slots might consider such a change to be a big middle finger. "Thanks for all the dilithium you wasted."

Think about those things, come up with a compromise, then get back to me.

I'm fine with just more old legendaries being available, be it through voyages, reruns, better odds for older cards in Beholds, whatever.
I've got tons of 1/5's, but I also have nearly 75 free slots after stocking crew for the upcoming mega. Space isn't an issue for me. Having any realistic hope of finishing the plethora of golds is.

What about a Starbase room - a Barracks of sorts - where each player could store characters? Characters in the Starbase can't be leveled, fused, or used in any way. And you are limited to 60 Stars worth of characters. In other words, you could store twelve 5* characters or four 5* and ten 4*.

This will come across as a harsh suggestion. But pick 75 of them to keep (for whatever reason) and recycle the rest. You will never miss them. I promise.

Totally this. Get rid of a bunch of them. I guarantee if you went up and down your roster you will find you have never used many of these once in your STT life. Get rid of 90 and cite one up

Well, for those that aren't main cast, I typically have used them for their event, and then never again (unless there was a re-run). And for those crew, you're pretty much on target. When/if I run out of crew slots, that's how I'll start moving down the roster.
