I can calculate many things but I require specific parameters. For example, this program and its crew are functioning at 53% efficiency....barely any change over the last few months. I do not understand how this program is still being broadcast.

Hi. My name is Gunboat Diplomat (*may or may not be my actual birth name) and I’m the Chief Science Officer of the Guardians of Tomorrow.
I earned that position by being curious and methodical and by deliberately tanking a few successive events in order to gain some data that was ultimately useful in devising a strategy that gave the entire fleet an advantage in these types of events. It was my way of giving back to a team that had helped me progress from a very green cadet, into a player who managed to rank 10th in the world for one event (my personal best).
If you’re so inclined, I’d like to share a little of my story, and maybe if you find some of it familiar, you might find a place in our fleet.
So I started as a free-to-play player. I don’t have what most would consider an entertainment budget so I was adamant that I’d just play Timelines for some fun. After about 3 or 4 months, I realised that there was still just too much I didn’t know about how the game worked so I went in search of a fleet.
I saw the GoT recruitment post. I thought it was fun, and well written, but maybe just a little cheesy for my taste, so I kept looking. Thankfully, someone else I stumbled across on the forums had some experience with GoT and said they were a good bunch, so I decided to give them a try.
I assured Gabe that I played regularly, but made it clear that I wasn’t going to spend any money. I was an incredibly low ranked captain, and I was VIP 0 at the time, but none of that seemed to matter. He was more interested in my commitment to participate as best I could and to be respectful and considerate towards my fleet mates.
That was easily over a year ago now. I asked a LOT of questions at the start (and still do, if the truth be known). I contributed where I could to strategy, offering insight, collecting and sharing data, and so on. I learned a lot about the game and eventually started buying monthly cards and the occasional Elusive Treasures pack.
When I first joined this fleet, I didn’t have any Super Rare crew fully fused, and no Legendaries at all. I’m now sitting on 80 gold crew, 14 of whom are immortal. I mention that not to brag (there are a great many of my fleet mates who boast much better crew rosters) but because I'm certain that I couldn’t have done it without a supportive, active, and involved team at my back.
They helped me to decide which cards to keep and which to airlock when I was out of crew slots. They taught me how to prioritise who to level, how to squeeze the most value out of my limited dilithium, how to accumulate the most chronitons, how to curse when the RNG slapped me down, and - of course - they helped me make those excruciating behold decisions.
As the game evolved - with the addition of weekend cadet missions, the gauntlet, mega events, starbases, voyages, skirmishes - I found that having a war room of people all sharing observations then proposing, testing and refining strategies helped me to adapt quickly and to capitalise on these new opportunities for loot.
And all of that is just the in-game benefit to being a part of such a fantastic fleet. I’m sure that others have and will continue to testify to the exceptional people that make up GoT, but this post is quite long enough already so I’ll try to be succinct.
My ability to partake of the social aspects of the fleet have waxed and waned during my time here, but suffice to say that there are a great number of genuinely good people in GoT more than one of whom I feel honoured to consider friends.
We’re not the biggest spending fleet (although we do have a few whales). We’re not the most competitive fleet out there (although we do punch above our weight through sheer force of unified will). We’re not the most exclusive or prestigious or famous fleet. We’re not elite.
We’re a respected community of individuals who like to help each other out. Which is the main reason I consistently (incessantly?) refer to GoT as the Best Fleet Ever (tm).

He was more interested in my commitment to participate as best I could and to be respectful and considerate towards my fleet mates.
That was easily over a year ago now. I asked a LOT of questions at the start (and still do, if the truth be known). I contributed where I could to strategy, offering insight, collecting and sharing data, and so on. I learned a lot about the game and eventually started buying monthly cards and the occasional Elusive Treasures pack.
When I first joined this fleet, I didn’t have any Super Rare crew fully fused, and no Legendaries at all. I’m now sitting on 80 gold crew, 14 of whom are immortal. I mention that not to brag (there are a great many of my fleet mates who boast much better crew rosters) but because I'm certain that I couldn’t have done it without a supportive, active, and involved team at my back.
They helped me to decide which cards to keep and which to airlock when I was out of crew slots. They taught me how to prioritise who to level, how to squeeze the most value out of my limited dilithium, how to accumulate the most chronitons, how to curse when the RNG slapped me down, and - of course - they helped me make those excruciating behold decisions.
As the game evolved - with the addition of weekend cadet missions, the gauntlet, mega events, starbases, voyages, skirmishes - I found that having a war room of people all sharing observations then proposing, testing and refining strategies helped me to adapt quickly and to capitalise on these new opportunities for loot.
And all of that is just the in-game benefit to being a part of such a fantastic fleet. I’m sure that others have and will continue to testify to the exceptional people that make up GoT, but this post is quite long enough already so I’ll try to be succinct.
My ability to partake of the social aspects of the fleet have waxed and waned during my time here, but suffice to say that there are a great number of genuinely good people in GoT more than one of whom I feel honoured to consider friends.
We’re not the biggest spending fleet (although we do have a few whales). We’re not the most competitive fleet out there (although we do punch above our weight through sheer force of unified will). We’re not the most exclusive or prestigious or famous fleet. We’re not elite.
We’re a respected community of individuals who like to help each other out. Which is the main reason I consistently (incessantly?) refer to GoT as the Best Fleet Ever (tm).
