How 'bout a real welcome

I know this has been going on for some time, but it would be nice to feel included. The in-game IM is very insular, and exclusive...I should not feel like an outsider in a game I wanted to play...but I feel that way...join a fleet; get no help...try to chat; get shut out or shut down...Don't know what the core membership numbers are, but new players, like me, feel kinda shut out...

@Rain Robinson try posting in Universe Chat that you are looking for an active and chatty fleet. There are lots of good and helpful fleets, sometimes it takes a couple tries to find the best one for you. If you haven't already, you may want to recruit Captains in Fleet Central, here:

...and I'd suggest you be specific about the types of players you want -- that is, if you're looking for players who like to chat and have fun and/or share info and strategies, or if you want active players only and don't care about how talkative they are, etc., etc.
