Having too much time on my hands, I created a Voyage Ship Selector spreadsheet. It does absolutely nothing you can't already do by flipping through every single ship in your inventory. But having it in this layout helps dummy-proof ship selection for voyages.
To use it, make a copy, enter the current level of each of your ships, and then select your voyage ship bonus trait from the drop down menu. Your best ship(s) for the voyage will then be highlighted.
