🌌[Images inside] - Suggestion how to further donate in Starbases

At present a fleet can only reach level 45 in their Starbase and maxed each trait room now to level 7. The unresolved issue is how to continue to donate and receive Chroniton rewards daily.

I propose a restructure of Starbases, so that once a fleet achieves a fully fitted Starbase they can then level up their Starbase and start a fresh with the same trait rooms of yet different design & increasing their trait bonuses from the last Starbase.

You could say the fleet is being reassigned to another sector of space due to its exemplary performance at its current post & the fleets experience in running an efficient Starbase is required there.

5 levels of Starbases again each with 7 stages of levelling up for bonus skills & the Transporter Rooms/Cargo Bay/Shuttle Bay would remain with 3 levels.
Those particular rooms would include per level:-
Increased Donation limit +100
Replicator Privilege increase +1
Crew Slots +10
Faction Mission Shuttlecraft +1

These changes could drastically extend the usefulness of Starbases & the donation capability to achieve daily rewards in fleets.

If anyone has any feedback feel free to comment.

Yeah! Just like in Star Trek Online! Once ALL rooms of a starbase have reached Level 7, a new upgrade pops up for the whole Starbase to upgrade it from Level 1 to Level 2 ... that's genius! And then all over again until the Starbase is Level 5 and each time a new set of rooms from Level 1 to Level 7 ...

The only thing I would change though is that the new Level 1 to Level 7 rooms should increase other stats than the base skill value:

Level 2 Starbase Rooms: Base antimatter value of a starship increased by 1% per level-up from 1 to 7.
Level 3 Starbase Rooms: Bonus Antimatter value of a starship and crew each increased by 5% per level-up from 1 to 7.
Level 4 Starbase Rooms: Minimal crew roll value (gauntlet) increased by 1% per level-up from 1 to 7.
Level 5 Starbase Rooms: Maximal crew roll value (gauntlet) increased by 1% per level-up from 1 to 7.

  • I've never played Star Trek online so wouldn't know the set up but great minds must think alike lol

Glad you approve of the suggestion & I like your idea about changing the type of stats to level up.
I baked the cake & you just put on the icing. 🖖🏼

I'm glad you approve of my additional plans as well. I'd love to eat that cake including the icing. ^^ I hope they will meowtice our purrject idea here. :)

BTW: I love the graphics for the Starbase types! Just like in the movies! And I love the UI visuals you customized and the new room names such as "Ready Room" or "Infirmary" etc. :)

  • Thanks Eris, it took 2 days of googling the images to complete the mock up, plus I had to screenshot some of the actual footage & join them together. You know they don't have a decent shot of the entire Enterprise E warp core anywhere.
    Had to make this myself.

  • Excellent ideas and beautifully presented @Capt. Pete. And yes I agree with @ErisTheVorta's suggestion of varying the stats that are increase. Nice brainstorming guys, you blew my idea out of the water!

If this post was in the Bridge it would gain more traction. I think this is a great idea kudos

Yes, but all suggestions and ideas are supposed to be posted here, and I've seen Shan react to threads in this area, so I think this will get meowticed, especially with so many links in other threads leading to this one already. :)

  • Well there you have it, consider myself told off, I'll not 'bump' again Shan.
My bad, but only because you said not to & it's covered in the community guidelines, not because Data1001 said not to 🙄

This too is covered in our Community Guidelines. Thank you.

    That's not bumping!
It's breaking down the levels from the original image so they can be seen more clearly & not as confusing.

Actually since you added no new actual content that would be considered bumping by the Community Guidelines. They are worth reviewing, btw.

It's not an exact duplicate of the original post or image to start with, it's as I stated, it's broken down so less confusing. It's still relivivant to the discussion so not in breach of the guidelines.
Can I ask, why are you bothered?

You do realize there is an "Edit" feature here, right? Very recently, I've seen you sneakily adding additional photos (in new posts) to another one of your threads, presumably to keep it at the top, whilst likely thinking you are sidestepping the community guidelines because those pictures are technically "new content". But those could just as easily have been added to a previous post of yours, just by editing said post. As could the entries above.

Look, as I've mentioned to you, I happen to like a lot of what you share here. And your "transgressions" (if one wants to use such a term) are far from the most egregious, compared to a number of other posters in this forum. But if you'll momentarily put yourself in my shoes, threads which have new posts — but not *really* any new content — push down other posts in the Recent Discussions section so that I am more likely to miss them, not to mention that it's just one more thread to go through, unnecessarily.

I expect there's a good chance you may have already put me on your "Ignore" list so you may not even see this reply, but trust me when I say I bear you no ill will, and never intended to come off as the "Forum Police", except for sharing what I and many others deem to be a general breach of forum etiquette... etiquette which exists in the first place to make the majority of forum users' experiences with reading and posting to threads an enjoyable and productive one.

So, anyway, if you did happen to see this, I hope you understand a bit more where I'm coming from, and that you don't take my comments about your posts personally. Otherwise, that Ignore feature will work quite well to stop you from having to read my blathering and such in the future. ;)

Could you please continue the petty bickering? I find it most intriguing.

You're quickly becoming the static I used to hear when trying to get to real radio stations on the AM Band. I'm reading new posts and come across reruns because you decided to do an end run around things by putting a new re-swizzle.

It's bothersome because it's annoying and taking additional space from folks who have other suggestions that may or may not be better or on equal footing than yours.

And frankly you're argument of the reswizzle being 'new content' is spurious at best.

It's a shame that when people try to point out that you routinely violate community guidelines by bumping threads you respond by first challenging them, then putting them on ignore.

Well there is the 5 person ignore limit, so I assume he'll use those up quick.

I believe they increased it to 50 or something.
