Well, 92, I think, are "Communicators" and 175 "Civilian" crew. Keep in mind that the LTO Janeway is " desperate". Some LTO's are useful for 2 weeks. Di Vinci was. 165 crew is just over 17.5% of the total crew now. That is about a sixth and there are a good many that are lower end.

I do like it when all characters in a Mega share a common theme. It doesn't necessitate a particular series or group, like the Q Mega, but if it doesn't it tends to mean a shared trait.
This isn't the most important thing for me, and there are ways of pacing a Mega where it matters less from a gameplay perspective. So if the Mega crew don't provide a bonus for every event that's not bad, even if it tends to be a little disappointing. For me.

Just read up on the 2017 event notes on WIKI. There were 10 shuttle missions for each faction originally, 8 of those missions were only 2 seat shuttles.
Going to be interesting to see how this works out. Can we open 10 shuttle missions per faction?

I believe it uses the original format, without the new cap. But that might be just Flashbacks......

My only concern is Amanda has no obvious traits for mega bonus. So she could be another 5* who won't provide a bonus after her event.
Normally I would agree with you. But given the special theme, I would think that there will be a special list of mega event crew - perhaps all variants of Spock and his immediate family members?
I'm guessing it'll be a Vulcan trait, but we'll see soon enough.
I'm thinking we're getting a new Spock. And depending on where they pull him from, the common crew could be cast from that series (Nimoy Spock-ToS crew; Peck Spock- Dis crew).

I think „Vulcan“ would be the obvious bonus trait for the Mega.
But just a guess 🤗

From a game-mechanics perspective - 59 total bonus crew, 48 of them as 4*/5* versions, with a pretty decent skill mix (although sorely lacking in MED and light on ENG) - that would make sense. From a story perspective? I’m not as sold. Such a trait not only would block the new Amanda from being useful after her own event, it also ignores Spock’s human half and close relationships with humans like Kirk and McCoy.
I’m still banking on at least Spock and Spock’s family (blood relatives plus Michael Burnham) being the small bonus crew throughout the month. It might be too much to hope that both Kirk and McCoy variants are likewise bonus crew, but that may be necessary to bump the number of bonus crew up to a more reasonable level...I haven’t done the math on that yet.

I agree with you 100%
A very simple fix for this would be for TP to just make everyone who’s released in the mega to be bonus the whole time, traits or not. So Amanda would be bonus the whole month even if it’s a Vulcan mega....

Okay, I couldn’t help myself from doing the math. With just Spock, Sarek, Amanda, Sybok, and Michael Burnham, there are only 16 5* bonus crew and 12 4* bonus crew. That’s a little light given recent mega events’ huge bonus crew lists. Including Kirk variants brings the bonus list to 24 5* and 19 4* variants and adding McCoy pushes it up to 28 5* and 22 4* crew to choose from. That’d be pretty reasonable.
Whoever coded the new 3 seater faction missions, would have been appreciated if they looked at the skill set of the featured crew before. Very little seats match. 😣

I found the Bajoran missions were far more forgiving than the Augments.

Bajoran here also. Augments had med on almost every shuttle and had the fewest seats that fit the primary-secondary combos for the event crew. I know their faction drops the more useful stuff, but I was still surprised they won.
When I saw the Augment shuttles I switched to bajoran. I got to run easier shuttles and now get bonus on augments after the event, thanks everyone who stuck with augments.

If you are suggesting that trait will carry a bonus for the Mega, I think that’s unlikely as there are 165 crew with it.
That would be cool. Especially if they don't retcon the look. Just stick with the TOS look he had.
