Vip point question

I'm considering buying the 24.99 tactical burnham pack. it says vip points but does not say how many. this is my only real factor i'm looking at as i'm close to hitting a level with more crew slots. does anyone know many vip points?

    VIP is uniform and does not change in how much you get if you pay $5 or $100. What I mean by this is at $4.99 you get 250 VIP and 49.99 you get 2500 VIP. It comes to 50 VIP per $1, so with a $24.99 purchase you will get 1250 VIP.

    I, too, find it useful to know there is a set system for it. Maths seems to work out from what I remember of topping up the 4000 Dilithium Deal. {$49.99 for 4000+1000 Dilithium gives 2500 VIP.}

    The math also shows that when you hit VIP 14 you have given DB $1,000.

    Some deals have been done with bonus VIP, so it can throw off the math for some folks, but yeah that sounds right for straight purchases.

    I thought the exception was for $24.99 offers which were 1500 VIP instead of the 1250 the formula would normally give

    paladin you are partially correct. some offers specifically state bonus vip but if it doesn't then the 250 per 5 spent formula is what applies
