Just a friendly tip to all the people out there: save your cheddar. We are in uncertain times and i can promise that wrg/tp are in it for themselves. if you feel the same, save your money, or, better yet:

Instead of buying that portal pack that gives you 2 seconds of gratification/frustration, why dont you give a dollar to the next ten homeless people you see? Im pledging to do exactly that.

Why you gonna give these rich folk more of your money when the whole world is hurting?

At the end of the day, this is a game. If it stops bringing you that serotonin high, stop playing. If hate-playing brings you a different type of serotonin high, then great for you.

But please don't go around telling people that they are unethical if they are spending money on this game. You know nothing about their lives - their income, their budget, how much time and money they donate already, etc - and to imply that spending some of their income on it makes them a bad person is offensive on a different level than anything I have ever seen on these forums.

Exactly this. Are you going to tell a front-line worker not to spend a little money on a game that relaxes or restores them? Or a parent who needs a distraction from at-home schooling during lock down? Or anyone who finds this therapeutic during a pandemic?

Passing judgement on thousands of people whose lives and circumstances you are totally unaware of is far more unethical than spending $10 on a portal pack.

If you are frustrated with the game for whatever reason, just uninstall and move on. There‘s no need to spread such negativity at all.

A lot of great people work for this company expanding the trek universe and giving us all a much needed diversion in these difficult times. Their salaries and livelihoods depend on players paying money and doing adwarps. There are also a lot of people hurting right now that could use help. This is not an either/or option. Spend money on the game and give to charity.

What if that homeless person uses the money to buy cheap booze? Or rises to become the next Hitler? Or goes back home and spends it on STT?
