You have been with this game a long time. You were her before TP. How can you continue to represent this company?
I respect you, I respect your opinion, I appreciate you past efforts to communicate and keep the community informed.
How can you continue to front for a company who obviously does not understand their customers and does not respect their customers?
We know you well enough to KNOW you understand the situation. Seems to me that you are in a untenable situation. How can you look at yourself in the morning? How can you post what you know is wrong? How can you stay?

I think this last part is taking it a little too far.
I'll start by saying, if I had been in her position, I would have done things differently. I would have put my foot down and refused to post the message. I would have insisted that another representative post their response.
But, with that said, I will certainly not blame anyone for preforming the tasks of their job even if that job is undesirable; especially with the current state the world is in. Job security is a precious things these days. We all do things at work we don't like or don't agree with. But to make it personal, asking how she can look at herself in the mirror, is a little too far. She may need her job, just like many of us need our job. We're angry with TP (the company). Let's not attack their customer service representative. They're in the wrong, let's not make us in the wrong.
If the bans were because of a macro? Or other exploit like mailbox multitapping or exploiting IAmPicard? Sure. I think we'd all be on board and have no sympathy. DB's refusal to do anything about those people keeping their gains and continuing to play the game is one of the major reasons I decided to go casual and then quit. It wasn't a level playing field and was inherently unfair.
If I were a fly on the wall in the meeting regarding the button bans, they probably thought that this would be like a scarlet letter and a way to rally players around policing their fleetmates who would be prone to do other, bigger exploits that DB can't find, root out, or track. They may have guessed that making fleets angry because a handful of bad apples made them miss targets would lead to shunning and removing only those players.
What they failed to take into consideration is that hitting a button in game vs. intentionally using a 3rd party app to exploit the game are two different things. One of those - hitting a button in game - had a hefty consequence. The other happens every day, probably even as I'm typing, and has none. Don't give someone a life sentence for hitting your car and let a murderer go free.

Edit: My mistake. I'm sorry. I misread.
I’m not sure that it was personal. I think the “you” didn’t reference anyone specifically. It’s unfortunate that anyone can’t pursue their dreams because they need to make money to eat, have housing, etc.
My mistake. I misread into it. I'm backing away, taking a break.
No worries. Things get heated. It’s a stressful time.
No, I'm sorry Jefe. I misread your reply. That was my mistake.
This doesn’t belong here. I have no idea what the political leanings of TP are, nor do I care.
Not true. We totally know their leanings. They’ve made them clear, but you are correct in saying it doesn’t belong here. Time and a place for sure
This is all going to far now, the forum isn't a pleasant place anymore.
