Why are you doing this? This is a legit question. I don't want any room for confusion like seems to happen when we last interacted.
You are going through multiple threads, posting very angry posts, that are clearly full of rage.
If you are truly done with the game, you're just torturing yourself by continuing to be involved with the forums. I'm genuinely concerned. Why do this to yourself? It isn't healthy.
Honestly? Because I'm annoyed. I'm not a cheat, I want them to publicly acknowledge that. And because I've had a drink and everyone else is in bed. (It's 2300 here)
I could also ask why you feel like you need to defend them at every opportunity? I've seen you accused by other posters as a 'white knight', I'd not heard the term before so had to look it up - but you do seem to fit that description. I - like you - don't want to confuse the situation and I'm not trying to be rude, I'm just curious. You seem pleasant enough and you seem 'switched on', yet you try to excuse everything for them. Let them excuse themselves.
My honest opinion, and I may be way off the mark so excuse me if I am. You, like alot of us, have invested so much into this game that you're afraid to see it fail. If it failed your investment (time and cash) would fail with it. Believe me/us I/we've been there. Unfortunately, you may be where we are in the future.
And I don't blame you. I would be just as upset if I was accused of that. Integrity and character are very important to me. My concern is you are only harming yourself. I sadly don't think you'll get what you want from them.
If you go through my posts, you'll see I've done more than a fair share of criticising the company. The ones who called me a "white knight" were the same people who took a dump on literally everything the company did. I spoke up when they were being unfair, in my opinion.
All I seek is balance and fairness. I don't like seeing extremes on either side. But, if we are being honest, the extremes on this forum tend to lean towards hypercritical (and often hypocritical).
Most of those who didn't like what I had to say have either gotten themselves moderated or banned, or called out by other players. I think that speaks volumes about them.
I've never been one to be silent when people are twisting facts, spreading lies or personally attacking others. I'd rather be principled than popular. If that makes me a white knight to some people, so be it. 🤷♂️
I appreciate your respectful opinion. I, like most of us who take the time to post here, am very passionate about this game, and more importantly, this community. I have invested a fair bit of time (and money) as well, so that adds to my reasons for being so outspoken.
I make no secret of the fact I don't want this game to fail. And by extension, I don't wish to see TP/WRG fail either, or their staff lose their jobs. Just because I don't want that, doesn't mean I think they are perfect, just to be clear. They haven't gotten a free pass from me.
I am legitimately concerned, particularly after this recent incident, that we are at risk of heading in that direction. Which again, is not something I want. I feel very strongly that if we as a community hold them accountable, we can hopefully prevent that from happening.
The worst thing that could happen is to be silent. Anger isn't good, but apathy is worse. For everyone one of us that fights for the game, or vocally walks away, how many leave silently? I couldn't tell you, but that number is concerning, no matter what it is.
Again, I only started this conversation out of concern for you. If you feel that quitting the game is the right decision, I support it. If you feel you want to give it another chance, that's great too. Eitjer option is perfectly fine to choose.
Not playing, yet participating in the forums, feeding that feeling of anger and injustice your feeling, is probably the worst option though. You're stuck in limbo, caught in the current negativity of the forum, without the balancing effect of the fun of the game. To me, that would be hell, and the worst option of all.

You say, 'the worst thing to do is to be silent' and yet you also say the best thing to do, in my case, would to be to let it go. Honour means alot to me and I dislike being labelled a cheat. That is all. But you're right, I don't need to bring it up in every thread. Those dilithium pictures look different and need addressing!

that would be something we want and it's cool so we won't get it.
