Red Angel Drops

I waited months to get my first Red Angel and got one a few months ago and then quickly FF her with gold cites Since she was introduced, that was the only Gauntlet only character drop I have received. In the last 3 days, I have received 3 of them making me consider carrying my first duplicate character. Has anyone else seen an increase of Red Angel drops recently? 3 in 3 days seems insane.

I dunno, dude. I caught some mad poop for kevetchin’ about Red Angel about a week ago or so. All I see when I hit certain abilities in Gauntlet is le Red Angel Wall and nobody likes to see this picture. I ain’t got one. Wish I did.

I have an immortalized and 4/5 FE Red Angel. I got 7/9 from Gauntlet, and used 2 cites (for the first one). I use both of them occasionally in the Gauntlet when the abilities are there.

I have two Red Angels, one immo, one 4/5,

Two Armus’ one immo, one 3/5

Two Guinan’s, one immo, one 1/5

One Locutus, 4/5 (one of those came from gauntlet rounds achievement)

One Caretaker 2/5

All drops, no cites. Keep in mind, I have been playing for 4+ years, but still, that’s just my personal story

I also never cite gauntlet crew, especially since it's possible to also get the older ones.

With Red Angel, Armus and the Caretaker, I got one or two really soon after they were introduced. But then it always took a lot of time to get the next one. I finished Caretaker and Armus only a short time before they were replaced and I only habe RA at 3/5. Haven't seen a drop in quite a while.

It's pretty normal for the main Gauntlet card to drop more often. You just got lucky.

I put a citation on the Caretaker way back when, but that was right when he was taken out of the rotation and before the drop chances were reworked to allow older gauntlet special crew to be available again. I wouldn’t put citations on any of them now.

As for duplicates, I suppose it depends on the state of your crew. If you’re really hurting for crew with the Angel’s skill combo, it might help to have a second one on hand.

While I was doing my push for the 20K rounds achievement, I kept track of how and when I got Gauntlet card drops. I went ~2500 rounds without a drop, then had three in about 500. My anecdotal experience is they come in spurts (but remember that the plural of anecdote is not data).

Also, I’ve only got one dup Gauntlet card, and that was one of Armus; I airlocked him. But Red Angel is not the single use specialist that Armus is, so you may find a second one useful for voyages and the like.

The only one I’m missing is The Caretaker. But I’ve not been having much luck recently... I had a spate of drops for Locutus (4/5*) and Red Angel (2/5*) about 4 months ago... but since then nothing!

I hit a single Guinan back in the fall and followed that up with a Caretaker not long after New Year's. Those are my only two drops in two years, but I'm not a heavy Gauntlet player. I haven't hit 2000 rounds yet, yes two thousand, not twenty.
Gauntlet crew are profiency driven, but, at FFFE, they can great for shuttles or voyages. Red Angel and the Guinan both have event potential for their character. With those two especially, I can see the use of duplicate crew. They are relatively easy fused Golds.

All from gauntlet drops + 1 caretaker airlocked, figured 2 cards ff'd of same crew is enough. haven't received gauntlet drop in last 2 months.

I play to maximize streaks of 3 rather than to gain score. I generally finish high when I don't forget the last rounds. Once in a while I get crew drops close together, but then I go three or four months with nothing. It is Guinan who seems to want to avoid my crew.

Same as both of you...all the other gauntlet special crew are immortal for me but Guinan has sat at 2/5* for years. Both stars dropped during her run as the featured crew (one from a nine-win streak and the other from a reward box for finishing in 40somethingth place) and I haven’t seen her since.

In 22 weeks, I got 1 caretaker and one red angel.

I had a dearth for a while, then recently 3 red angels in a month. The caretake remains the elusive one for me.

I've been in a bit of a dry spell, but I can't complain with 4 drops of Red Angel so far. The frustrating part? Guinan is my only IMMO crew, and she was IMMO with cites just after she left the Gauntlet. All of the rest have been at 4/5 since Red Angel appeared.

Finally got one RA in September, another in December, in the last month suddenly 3 more copies to finish and 2 caretakers. But i think its more about finishing the 20k achievement and changing play and saving a lot of merits.
