    I hope you can explain to me how for some reason Star Wars technology remains unchanged for thousands of years 🤣🤣

    Actually in all seriousness, I once wrote a paper on the Utopian Socialism of the United Federation of Planets versus the Totalitarian Capitalism of the Galactic Empire. I can't find it, though.

    I actually do address that in the lecture, but in terms of comparing the rate of advancement between the two time periods. Technological innovation had pretty much stagnated in the Imperial Era, with advancement taking the form of "make it bigger." Bigger Star Destroyers, Bigger Death Stars, etc...

    And yes, I also came to the conclusion that the Federation won in terms of resource distribution, as well, since the vast economic disparities in the Galactic Empire allowed for so many wretched hives of scum and villainy.
