Is anyone else finding Prospero Data hard to pull?

So I've tried 12? 15? I forget the number, packs where he's a dropable crew member, but I haven't pulled one of him yet. I've wanted him for so long and yet nope, he evades me with this pack.

I wouldn't think pulling a 4* would be this difficult.
I've pulled probably 7 Princess Jadzias who I've had FF'd for a long time, and maybe 6-7 Detective Dixons who I also have FF'd, and one Baseball Sisko.

Like really? :(

Same here, and I pull every time because he was the first 4* I ever earned. RNGehosaphat!

  • Pulling Data is indeed very hard. I'd recommend WD40 😉

Maybe we will have a rerun event so you can collect it.
  • I found just the opposite. I was trying to complete my RAF Miles that I've had at 3 stars for a year and I pulled 4 times. All Prospero!! Its too bad cards can't be traded.

  • Its too bad cards can't be traded.

This. Myself and a friend are always getting into the situation where one of us is airlocking extra cards of a character the other still needs stars on. Some sort of trading system would be great, even if it's just between players in the same fleet. Perhaps make a proviso that you have to be a fleet member for a week or something before trade becomes available to stop people leaving to join another fleet to get a specific card, then jumping straight back again.

DB could even take a small handling fee to make it worth their while.. limit trades to like.. 1 per month or something and or charge us more Dilithium for a second trade.

Win win DB, if you do it right.

It's not win win because it's ridiculously easy to abuse, and it would be. Doing it right is all about putting in restrictions to make it less lucrative to abuse, which at the same time makes it less desirable for legit use. It's not worth the effort.

Not to mention that DB is on record saying it's not going to happen.

Or have a fleet pool which discarded cards can be put in and instead of honour you get credits to pull a card of your choice from the pool, tiered like the honour hall. For instance you get four credits for throwing a 4* card into the pool, but need eight credits to pull out a different 4*. Adjust credit ratios to suit.

    Now, that is workable.

Look you're all good people, so you have no idea how players would abuse the idea of trading. Imagine someone with like 4-5 alt accounts that exist just to collect. Even if you only collect the free cards given out. It's just not fair.

Thanks for confirming that Prospero Data is still out there, waiting to be pulled. I will keep trying, because hope springs eternal &c.

Then make being able to trade cards a VIP perk, at least at first, like warping missions was.
  • I'm guessing the whales would just VIP all their accounts. Not exactly a block to someone who spends hundreds on the game anyway.

And who would get all that cash? Not really a downside for DB......

2 Princesses and 1 Dixon. Sadly no Prosperio but at least I get to work on my second Princess Dax.

This just goes to prove my theory...db has a group of telepaths working for them, if you want Prospero data...nope...but if you wanted RAF Obrien...still nope. So I use reverse psychology whenever I do pulls

I got two prospero's trying for raf o'brien. Of course this is two weeks after I spent 1500 dil from a faction store and 54000 honor to finish him since he isn't in the portal.

Trading system seems good in principle but it would get abused by the whales and your chances of doing well in event would decrease dramatically.

Telepaths are overly complicated, as they require OSHA compliance, and they snatch all of the good snacks. What we’ve found better is to program the game to hate you.
Have to say I'm enjoying you popping up in a couple of threads lately. Good to bring some humor here.

Anyway, as to the OP, I just decided to cash in the hoard of premium portals I've been...hoarding for some time. (Was hoping to finish my Princess Dax to use in the event.) 16 ten-packs and 146 one-shots...and not one Prospero. Add that to your statistics, I guess. Oh, and no I didn't get the one P.Dax I needed either, go figure.

Just the whales? You can VIP your account for like £4 (a single monthly card). Not only the whales, but any small spender can just invest £12 to make four alt accounts and get a guaranteed 4/4 each episode just by reaching the first Epic crew threshold reward.

These ideas about trading between players is just enormously abusable no matter how you balance it. The game hands out free single 4* crew like it's candy (achieving 3000 VP or so in an event... that's nothing). That would immediately result in a market that is completely overrun by duplicate 4* crew farmed with alt accounts.

Ahhhh....that makes total sense why no matter how many Resistance pulls I did I still couldn't get one Assimilated Janeway...thanks for the confirmation
