Google Play Balance - split purchasing broken?

In the past, I always used my Google Play Balance for a split purchases - e.g. spend my $1.50 balance and then charge the remainder on my credit card. This hasn't worked in several months. Did something break?

Hmm that goes via google play itself so I would reach out to their support.

Thanks @Shan, but I went to Google first and they said that the developer sets the split purchase option per purchase.

I suspect that's wrong though b/c I've done this in the past, unless if a recent update (in the last 6 months or so) somehow changed a default option on the back end or something like that...

Except this was a Google Play gift card, not rewards balance.

Google said that the developer has to enable the split pay option on each purchase type and that it needed to be fixed by the developer.
