Introduction to Objective Events

Greetings, Captains!
A big part of the work that went into our latest game update, v8.2.0, was centered around Objective Events.
Objective Events will be a new activity available to all players, and will consist in performing various game activities. For a better experience Temporary achievements will also be done in this format in the future.
Where
Objective Events will be located in the Event Hub.
The current goal is to announce them on the previous Wednesday.
Scheduling
Objective Events will usually take place outside of our weekly competitive events, from Monday to Thursday. However for special occasions, similarly to temporary achievements, they may have different durations.
Structure and prerequisite
Each Objective Event consists of one or multiple objectives to complete, and each objective may consist of one or multiple milestones.
Within an Objective Event some objectives may require the completion of other objectives to be unlocked. Likewise, some Objective Events may also have prerequisites before unlocking.
This system also supports the use of specific criteria for objectives/milestones.
Using a crew with a particular trait for instance, which will add another flavor to familiar gameplay elements.
Objective Event Rewards and Participation Rewards
An Objective Event will grant rewards for each objective within the event, these rewards will be claimable as soon as the objective(s) is/are met.
Some Objective Events may also offer a participation reward. For those events, the participation reward will be claimable at the end of the event, and this as long as at least one milestone has been completed.
