Sahil or Archer with Porthos?

I have been boycotting spending money on the game out of a protest over constantly getting replicator rations instead of something useful in voyages. The powers that be don't care, of course. But that is a different issue.
I was considering buying the campaign this month despite the fact that the people in charge neither care about me or my protest. I have Sahil at 1/5 and he is a good crew, though I have other command and diplomacy crew. Then I saw that Archer is next month. I don't have Archer, but I actually know the character and like Enterprise.
So the question: is Sahil better, or do I go with Archer?

I would go for Archer…
Schematics are controlled by avoiding the choice in dilemma that awards them. I can think of two the one with the servant , just do not use the information she gave you.(or, do not side with the servant in the previous one) The other just do not use the one to help you, Gorn or Andorian that you chose in the previous. I think there is a neutral choice that is the one to use.
Edit: there is a 3rd with schematics, do not use the Romulan officer who you help in previous dilemma ?
First, I look at skill combinations. In that sense, Sahil has a slight edge.
Second, I look at traits. That is kind if a push in this case.
Third, I look at base scores (for shuttle strength and voyage stability): Slight edge to Sahil again.
Fourth, I look at collections. Both have one, so it would depend on what you need, but in a vacuum this is a push.
Fifth, I look for unique uses (like Gauntlet, useful ship ability, etc). Nothing here for either.
Sixth, I look for "other" considerations (like crew slots, ease of fusing, etc). For you, Sahil is the clear advantage here. You can immortalize him instantly, and an immortalized Sahil can be frozen if need be, plus at 5/5 he will be much more likely to see use for you than a 4/5 Archer.
Finally, I look at casting. Archer has this absolutely dominated. According to IMDB Sahil is in only 3 episodes of Discovery, but Archer is not only main cast be he is THE main character for his show. Archer's advantage here though is not as strong as it should be as there seems to be a decent chance that Discovery crew will get future events and clearly Enterprise does not get as many events as other shows. So Archer wins this, but not by the margin it should be.
CONCLUSION: A case can be made for Archer. You like him better and as the captain and main character of his show, that has a lot of value, and if you are willing to cite him up from either existing citations or future Honor Sale I think you would be happy with that decision. Otherwise, I would advocate equally for Sahil or just skipping both and waiting for a better campaign. Sahil doesn't move the needle enough for me, his traits are not great, and nothing about him cries out that he is a must have card. Another reason not to get Sahil is that by now, 3 of the 4 mega events have been run and next week is a skirmish, so his possible impact for you in this mega is effectively zero.
I bought Sahil. I might buy Archer. If Archer appears in a behold I would be more inclined to get him.
I know they don't care, but it still angers me.
