Possible Star Base Room Additions

How about a Shuttle Bay? First two tiers are required to build it, the third tier gives you another shuttle (5 Max per person) and the next 3 tiers decrease the time of a mission by 30 to 90 min. Since this is a fleet wide advantage I would expect, and be willing, to pay a premium for this. ALL four components are required for each tier and at a much higher amount.

  • Like that idea; think your time reductions are maybe too large? How about each tier decreases shuttle return time by 5 minutes; each 5th tier allows an extra shuttle ... ? This would allow for a longer growth in the game ... ?

    5 shuttles for certain people is really too much and a really bad disadvantage, 5/10/15 or whatever kind of time diminishing measure is an even greater disadvantage, if you play with 4 and somene plays with 2 or 3.
    Anyway, what about a room called Crew Quarters that gets more crew quarters for everyone on the fleet? 3 tiers as the transporter, 10 places more each tier?

  • Another possible room, rather than having a trash compactor to meet fleet daily rewards, could be a Ten Foward Lounge or Quarks, etc. where the items go into recruiting a crew member. Ideally I envisage 3 such rooms, with the rewards being a 3*, 4* and 5* crew member respectively (it could be a known crew from the start, but to be relevant to all fleet members I'd be thinking a behold).

    Alternatively you could earn citations, although I have no idea what you'd call that room.

    Id like some ship battle buffs for example:

    1-5% boost to shields,
    1-5% armour HP,
    1-5% boost to weapon damage,
    1-5% reduction in cool down times
    1-5% increase in cloak duration
    1-5% increase in boarding damage etc

    Id also like some voyage buffs, for example:

    1-5% increase in AM total
    1-5% reduction in AM damage
    1-5% increase in AM recharge rate etc

    Generic ones
    1-5% increase to chrono recharge rate
    1-5% reduction in mission chrono cost

    Some ideas there, obviously DB would have to make sure they are all balanced.

    I still like the idea of a recovery shuttle. You have a failed shuttle return, and it was a 3500 or 4000 pt mission. You immediately send this recovery shuttle to retrieve the mission components. It returns instantaneously with a RNG roll of fail, or up to all mission points recovered. This recovery shuttle would use 2 of the treasure boosts (9 hr boosts) that we all have so many of. The stars of the treasure boosts increase the RNG chance of success. And, you can use one recovery shuttle every four hours.

    I spoke about this to some others at length, and this was the best scenario we could come up with that was fair for everyone.
