Faction Missions

Can someone tell me how it enhances the game to come to a dead stop leveling a crew member for a piece(s) of faction gear? I've ran in excess of 15 missions and have not gotten the gear I need. So while you're waiting for those missions you start on someone else until you come to a screeching halt. I just don't understand how that is supposed to inspire game play.

    You can fabricate the item. And check the faction stores for the item. And play the Dabo wheel for 5,000 credits a day since it might have the gear as an option.
    But mostly fabricating is your best option.

    It was designed to encourage people to pay to refresh the faction store items, then maybe pay again to buy faction store items with dilithium.

    This isn’t something the regular gamer wants to do. But like many other design decisions, the chance to earn money wins out over convenience.
