Three time zones for Timelines

OK... I am “based” in MST (one hour before PST, two hours behind EST. In the past two months, I have played STT in Tokyo and Hong Kong (Asia), Miami (EST) and Europe (Continental and London... one hour apart).

I think the reset times and such work best for PST (West Coast USA). 9pm reset, 9am event starts and end, chrons at 10am, 4pm and 8pm. EST is also OK but a little late with a midnight reset and noon event kick off, Chrons at 1pm, 7pm and 11pm.

Asia is OK with noon reset (a day earlier) 12midnight event kick off (gotta stay up late)... Chrons as 1am, 7am and 11am means you’re like to miss one set if you sleep normally. It’s a little better in Tokyo being an hour earlier.

Europe bites the most, especially London. Event kick off at 5pm London (6pm continental, 8pm Moscow) is OK but reset at 5am bites (better on the continent at 6am and fine at 8am in Moscow) meaning if your starbase bonuses are done in the last 5-6 hours, you have trouble collecting them. Chrons bonus at 6pm, midnight and 4am means even if you stay up late, you’re likely to miss at least one Chron bonus and maybe two every day.

So for all the whining brits, I have to agree that you have the worst time zone to play in... on the other hand, it does seem the gauntlet is easier (point wise) to win than in the USA.

One point of clarification, the chron refreshes are the at the same local time for everyone, but the local time zone is fixed based on where you are when you create your account.

Ah... that makes sense... well it **tsk tsk** for me traveling then...
  • I created my account 3 timezones away while on a short trip, ignorant that my chron boost times would be 3 hours later for all eternity.

  • Australian times are pretty messy. Events used to start at 2am but after a couple of time changes 'daylight savings' that's now 4am. Kinda **tsk tsk** huh? Game resets at 4pm, gauntlet and voyages at 11am. Yup. Not sure who gets it 'worst' but 4am start and finish for events I am sure is not helping my score.

  • Yeah, it **tsk tsk** being in the UK when it comes to starbase rewards. I'm usually awake before 5 am, so I can reboot the game and claim any last-minute honor/chrons. But if I oversleep I lose out... :-(

  • Basically, something '**tsk tsk**' for anyone in any timeline except for US timezones.

As a UK player, I'd love to be able to collect my Starbase rewards that are achieved while I'm asleep. Everything else I can live with. But it must be a real pain to play if you're based in Oz or NZ!

Yeah, I haven’t played down under in Oz or that other sheep loving, Gollum hero worship, kiwi land but I imagine “oceanasia” is worse given the time for Continental Asia is “barely” manageable (ie, have to stay up after midnight to start events properly) which means it’s well into the wee hours for you guys... which really stinks.
  • 4am event starts on the aussie eastern side - not fun if you're a squad leader trying to share crew
