The Dove does not explode?

In the current Skirmish, I noticed that The Dove ship does not explode. On the kill, it does turn red, but that's it - you just see the ship continue to 'fly'. Inconsistent with all other ships (they blow up). Not a critical issues, but inconsistent.....

Honestly, I like it. Skirmish events where we repeatedly blow up ships we're supposed to be rescuing never sat well with me.

I figured because our 'friends' were on it, and it was taken captive. We were merely disabling it.
Or it was a happy accident.
