Mirror Picard not in Starfleet?

Title says it all. There are builds in the Galaxy event that give a bonus for the "Starfleet" trait, and Mirror Picard doesn't have it

We are looking into it and will take a look at all Mirror crew :)
  • I don't believe the Empire ever developed "Starfleet". I would have to double check, but I think it simply didn't exist in the Mirror Universe.

The Memory Alpha synopses for In a Mirror, Darkly and Mirror, Mirror both explicitly reference Starfleet Command.

By the time of the DS9 mirror episodes there doesn't seem to be a Starfleet, or at best not much to speak of.
  • Okay, my bad. I just read the entire script for "Mirror, Mirror" from TOS. Starfleet Command is actually mentioned in the Mirror universe. First by Marlena half way through the episode in Alternate Kirk's quarters, then a couple minutes later by Alternate Spock in his quarters.

Then again later Marlena says to Kirk, "You're not even afraid of Starfleet Command..." This suggests there is a mutually exclusive hierarchy between the Empire and Starfleet that was never explained.

So, yes and no. All TOS Mirror crew needs Starfleet trait for sure. DS9 needs more research, and TNG is non-canon so that one is entirely up to DB. I would surmise that Starfleet continued in the Mirror Universe after Spock whether or not rebelled and helped take down the emperor, therefore would still be around either way in TNG with Picard, but that's only speculation.

Currently, Mirror Tucker and Sato have Starfleet, of the Mirror crew I have. Kirk, Uhura, and Reed do not have it.

The wiki states that Mirror Archer has it but T'Pol does not. It also shows Mirror Uhura has having it when you go to the "Category: Starfleet" page. This suggests that she might have had it back when there was the trait ambiguity as to whether she and Mirror Kirk were the Mirror versions or the Prime versions while in the Mirror Universe (she is also on the "Category: Federation" page). On her page, however, it does not show that she has it under her thumbnail, nor does it mention the trait changes. (and yes, I know the wiki is not run by DB and may contain errors).

My initial reaction is that Kirk and Uhura should ABSOLUTELY have the Starfleet trait, and we have established in their timeline, their Starfleet was PART of the Terran Empire.

I would submit that Reed also absolutely have it, especially since they (DB) put him in a Starfleet uniform for the artwork!

That being said, the game itself is split up into the various factions, and that might be counter productive for them to have traits under 2 different competing factions. It's all about the game, not necessarily accuracy for the Star Trek Universe.

The Starfleet trait should be added to various Mirror crew soon :)
