Credits Offer

I hope that big credits offer is coming back around soon! I can’t do much atm. I guess I replicate too many high cost items daily. Forget doing a retrieval anytime soon lol.

Overlooking doesn't sound promising, maybe considering, investigating, mulling over, thinking about LOL...
5m credits per Crew retrieval, which can come around quite quickly.
(Not for everyone in this thread, but for most of us.)
I appreciate people trying to help but this post was to let WRG know that it would be helpful to some of us if that credit offer came back soon. It must be immensely tempting for folks to see all this and say “what!? how could they have so few credits when I have a gagillion! They must be doing something wrong. Let me reply…”
I don't usually go nuts on building Quipment but I'm probably spending about 3/4 million a week. On top of that the extra 250 quantum means I'm retrieving every 6 days. I'm sitting on a paltry 2million credits right now.
This line right here is why you are out of credits. You ostensibly have played for years but you don’t know this is one sure way to run out of credits?
Which is why I’m glad they offer 30+ million credits as an offer. Which is why I’m letting them know I’d like it to show up again soon.
But please, tell me how to play the game the “right” way and what to spend resources on and what not to.
The replicator is a trap. Most items cost less to build than their replication costs. The only things that I replicate with regularity are Basic Holoprograms and 2* Science Experiments. If I ran S31 and Augment shuttles non-stop I'd probably not have that problem. But then I would have a merit deficiency. As it is I spend less than 100K credits per week on the replicator.
Also don't level crew unnecessarily. If you need that crew now, then level it. Otherwise do the bare minimum (ie dailies).
I agree. I am trying to play catch up after being gone for several years so that is why I am pushing to level up so many as quickly as I can. It’s fun for me. Some folks play this game to not collect every character and that is their choice. Everyone plays differently. I want to have everyone finished and then I can just focus on the new ones as they come.
I’m regretting making this post. I’m not asking for the game to be changed, for people to play any differently, or for anything unique or special for me. I just want my vote cast to WRG that I ‘d love one of their many offers that has been available in the past to show up again. Not soliciting advice on how to conserve resources.
Many of you who have put in the work long term have benefitted from accruing enormous amounts of resources, specifically chronitons and credits. That is super awesome for you. I had a super long time away from the game and even before that I wasn’t always “full time.”
Just weird to me that somehow people think my asking for this offer to return was an invitation to tell me what I am doing wrong. This isn’t a game that you can “win.” All that matters is that we enjoy it. Let’s face it, they get us one way or another. If not your money then your time, or both. They get a lot of my credits and will for a while longer. That’s how I roll.
Playing catch up is one thing. I've never had a break from the game so certain things are easier for me.
However replicating 5* Equipment did make me wince. There are very, very few items in game where its worth it. Even then I would just let it sit there and maybe the Gauntlet will give you a present.
I'm trying to get to a billion credits and Sundays are slow.
That was a joke. Mostly.
But yeah, it doesn't cost anything or disrupt the game economy to throw 2.5M/5M credits in with other LTO's that are given weekly, to say nothing of a dedicated credit offer. I'd bet you'd sell more than the cost of making the art/offer and implementing it.
Just don’t make the price point too high.
(If they don’t put forward a chron offer, I hope you’re able to buy extra cadet tickets on Saturdays and run a lot of supply kits.)
This is my continual struggle, also. (My best antidote has been replicate only 28000 credit items or less, and spend dilithium to double the cadet challenge tickets on Saturdays, that gives me enough to squeak by). Between crew retrieval and replication, credits are my scarcest resource.
My personal "bottleneck" used to be the higher level Security Codes. Especially since you cannot do 0*>1*>2* upgrades. I started checking every time someone I was leveling had Security Skill. Before training up to unlock the Equipment Slots, you can build multiples of higher levels from 2*.
So, now I upgrade any that I have more than 100 of to the highest level I can. Get enough 2* Security Codes mining Shuttles for Holoprograms to stay on it.
IMO this is a biased, inaccurate view. If there is a divide among the players it is between those who spend and those who do not, historically nobody has done more to benefit all players than the "haves", who unlike any other game I have ever played have embraced the idea of teaching people to fish rather than giving people fish.
It may have generated a false impression that this was a more widespread issue than it really was; it was just a few such encounters in the span of a short period of time.
I'm curious, what about 800 makes it a target number? I'm up to about 700 myself, I think...
I only have 600 and only using 540 right now. I do have over 1,200 immo's so my freezer is quite full, saves space. If 800 or 1000 or 400 work for the way YOU play/collect then that's the right answer.
FWiW: A strategy I used in the first 3 years of playing was this: "judicious and frequent use of the airlock will serve you well in the long run"...
I am sure you will do well
Another suggestion I was given years ago and I still do is to (as much as is reasonable) only do the minimum each day and then use a supply kit and go wild during the event. Every time I warp a mission for supplies during an event, I am getting credits as rewards. It works for me.
