Gah, caught out by the clocks changing in the US. (The announcement is right for today but wrong for the start and phase change, I think? So I thought it was wrong all the way along ...)
I was pleasantly surprised to have no issues with connecting in the final hour of the event, and came here to congratulate the team! I hope this was due to an actual increase in server capacity, and not just because everyone outside the USA and Canada tried it an hour too late...
