Starship Blueprints

One for the suggestion box, and I don't know how practical this would be but it seems to me that since we are playing Star Trek our blueprint rewards should be predominantly Federation (U.S.S.) ships.

It seems odd to me that my two most powerful vessels are a Borg Cube and a Klingon Bird of Prey called "Bounty".

Is there a way, perhaps, that a player could "declare" their "allegiance" to a spacefaring race and then have their blueprint rewards primarily relevant to that race?

Just wondering.

It won't take long for you to want the other ships for voyages. Not a bad idea, but it doesn't quite fit with the game realities as they currently stand.

Also, the Bounty is the name given to the captured Klingon ship in The Voyage Home. So that one is a Federation ship.

It's even in the Starfleet fleet museum! (Kinda neat that its cloaking device saves Earth twice!)
  • Good morning,
Thanks for the input. I do realise that the "Bounty" was the name afforded the vessel in the movie however simply painting a name on something doesn't make it change, I could go and paint the word Chevy on a Volkswagen, still going to have a Volkswagen though...! LOL.

As you put it though, my suggestion doesn't, or wouldn't/can't, fit within the bounds of the game realities. Never mind, I'll just keep using non-Federation blueprints as replicator fuel and keep flushing characters I don't want out of the nearest airlock.

Call me a purist if you will... LOL
    Cheers,
