Please can you change the unlocking slots objective for the midweek event next time it comes around @STT Community

By now I imagine many are using the same old crew for the missions & have no need to unlock new slots, bar event crew - if they get them fully fused
It's kinda a pain & a waste to use unnecessary crew when you could be using them in more useful others

    Yeah. I'm sure a lot of people have their top Crew for each Skill "locked in" by now.

    One thing that can be done during the OE, is use Crew on Normal that can do those Nodes to unlock the first Slot. Four Runs opens it up.

    Something else I do sometimes is "deadhead" a Crew to unlock a Slot when two Crew can clear a run. I had to do that with EV Suit Gorn at first, because he was "iffy" even on Normal for most Nodes, and no Quipment.

    That OE and the other one coming this week are probably the most bothersome for people. I know I often forget to "save" Fuses and Immortalizes for it. I "oops"ed Rutherford yesterday. I meant to wait and just do his Fuses and stuff Monday night.

    Having both OEs at the same time is going to cause some swearing, probably.

    It's not just a Top Crew unlocked issue. It's an All Immortalized crew unlocked issue. I'm currently at 459 unlocked slots. That's over 110 crew with all 4 slots already open. I'm reaching the point where the couple crew I have for Hard FBB are the only FF crew that don't have all their slots open. I had to spend the last couple days watching who I used just so that I would have anyone left to use in the event.

    When an OE causes me to not play before the OE so that I can play during the OE, it's a failed design

    It is useful somewhat the it's a mega as you can use the upcoming 4* crew to get slots unlocked for the coming events
    Silver lining but still needs to be changed going forward

    I'm throwing the three Legendaries I Immortalized for the other OE at Normal, where I can. One of them, fortunately, can hit two different Skills, if not adjacent.

  • If you have an issue unlocking slots, remember you can run 1*, 2*, and 3*. Once 1 slot is unlocked for 1* and 2*, you can clear all normal with them alone.

    There are 2* and 1* that can actually run all the way through epic if properly equipped. (2* Tool has 400 base + 1100 for 2* equip + 600(Vulcan) + the 500 and 450 science)

    Excellent points! Especially about the 2 ⭐ Quipment. I know I forgot about it!

    Took me a while to sort all that out Shadowconmaster but now it makes sense.

    The fact that failure is an option lets you run any immortalised crew as long as you can succeed at the last node. The 1 to 4* crew don’t have to succeed to get points.

    I had never heard about the special quipment for 1 and 2* crew.

    2* Tool is actually 2* Science Officer T’Pol - stupid autocorrect I’m guessing

    And you can actually add another 400 or so for the added quipment proficiency minimums so 3600ish minimum total for her I think plus any buffs you have.

    I don’t need to do that now but it’s an option I didn’t know about that would have been useful early on. Many thanks.

    I just tested this, and could not confirm. QP and slots remain after thawing.

    This is not the case. Freezing and defrosting a crew will remove all of their quipment, but their slots and QP remain unchanged.

    Freezing removes Quipment. It does not "reset" the Slots. If it did, that wouldn't even make sense. Why would we have to start over from scratch if we have to freeze someone fully opened up to unfreeze someone else?

    If I remember correctly here is a list of best options.

    CMD -- Ensign Mariner(Janeway's Mug)
    DIP -- Gaia Odo(Bajoran Orb, also has a lot of Matching Traits)
    Sec -- L'Rell(Sword of Kahless)
    ENG-- Injured Torres(Maquis)
    Sci -- Science Officer T'pol(Vulcan, Honorable mention is Festive Dax)

    Med gets tricky. Dr. Phlox is a 2 star (Physician). However, EMH mk 1 has the highest possible stats but is an honor hall crew. The second highest is actually CMO Bashir a 1*. Bashir gets to use both Physician AND Augment(instead of the 450)
