HATE voyages!

In all my years of playing I have not gotten a single legendary crew that can only be obtained by voyages.

Any rewards should be instinctive, play the game as it is designed and receive the reward.
Unfortunately, voyages are nothing like this.

They say the rewards are random but apparently not triggered by “luck”. I have been doing voyages daily since they began. After YEARS of play I should have randomly gotten at least one by now.

No information is given about how to obtain them. I have tried many variations of “choices”, including “select all the left options” AND “select all the right option”. Be good. Be evil. Be random. Nothing. Not one damned “exclusive” crew.

The hoops you have to “jump through” are invisible and unlinked. Missing one does not improve your chance of getting another. “Oops, that was the wrong choice this time, but here’s a green you have gotten 6,000 times already as compensation.”

At least make the ones who have been around for YEARS obtainable through Crew Retrieval.

Even if you make the right choice, there is no guarantee that you will win. I have been playing for 2 years now and have only been lucky 6 times.

I think your final point is the poster"s main point. I don't hate voyages. I like them best. But in 2 years you have been "lucky" 6 times. The poster has been lucky 0 times. I have been playing much longer. I have been lucky 3 times. It would be nice if there was something concrete. It took me two years to get one of the 3-dilemma purple crew. But I knew it was a set pattern and worked every time. Back then, by crew was weak and there were no boosts. Now I can do 12 hour voyages daily. But I can't manage to get lucky more than once a quarter. Or perhaps twice a year is more accurate. That is the problem. When you have one exclusive gold voyage crew, that isn't bad. We have far more now. Some surety would be nice. Or, as many have said, put them into the general pol after a year or so. That sstill gives reason to pursue long voyages for some but lets collectors know they can eventually get it. Personally, the current situation doesn't bother me. It mildly annoys me, but I don't think on it anymore and have a deep crew, regardless. What angered me was the rations, and they have fixed that.

I have been to the Wiki and I have all the Super Rares for a while now. Most of them were intuitive choices for fans of the series. My post is about being unable to get the Legendary crew. Even making "the right" choice often fails and there is no other way to get them. You get some idiotic "reward" that hardly reflects the effort.
At this rate, I would have felt "lucky" to get 1 every 2 years. I see that some have gotten all 5. Others have 2 or more of the same one. It's FAR beyond random at this point for me. It seems ridiculously unattainable.
Maybe another Ambassador Neelix or a Smiley O'Brien might help...

I’m with you on the legendaries. Literally the only crew in the game I do not have are 3 of those buggers. After a year of 5-6 dilemmas per day, I only got 2 beholds. Seems like that is much less than an even 1% chance.

If they are determined to keep introducing new ones the least they should do is make the oldest available in the portal when the new one drops. They don’t stand to make any money from us if there’s no way to even buy an advantage in getting a begold. Getting an exclusive might make us buy the $25 double the crew offer.

I can’t remember the player’s name, but a couple of years ago, there was someone who did not get a single Gauntlet legendary until he completed the 20,000 rounds and earned Locutus as a reward.

Crap luck happens, and I get your frustration. I didn’t earn the 4* McCoy from voyages until just this month, and I do voyages everyday. It’d be great if there was a more efficient way to earn those characters, but I do not see it changing unfortunately.

It took me 20k rounds to get Locutus.

That happened to several players in my fleet. On the other hand, I had gotten over 5 of him by the time I hit that achievement. The RNG is crazy.

Hello all, I am reading through all you are saying as this is my first time on here. I agree on how difficult and frustrating it is in relation to crew, I struggle to get passed 6 to 8 hour voyages even though I am collecting and improving stats monthly. I feel like I am stuck in the same gear having played since 2018!

You've been playing since 2018 and can't get past 8 hours? Have you never heard of Datacore? In my first year of playing I already got over 10 hours, now in the third year 12 to 14 hours (without equipment) is my standard. Check out datacore.app and experience the game on a new level.
