And yet nothing in the game. No packs, no OE or a free giveaway of this one-time event. Next month's campaign would have been perfect to mark this event

Most long term players will have him.
Especially when it just draws attention to their lack of effort to capitalize on Star Trek lore. A trivial amount of effort could have created a special “bell riots pack” with new characters, a little more effort and they could have had a bell riots event or mini event and i bet either of those would have made them some money. Its hardly surprising that the game continues to lose popularity, players and revenue.
or, they could have just sent everyone bell riots bashir in an ingame mail.

So, it could be considered getting the 1250 Chronitons for half off, with 550 bonus Honor.
I dont disagree that it is a discount.
But it was a one time opportunity to commemorate the fictional Bell Riots with the real life date, and it didnt happen.

Yeah. It definitely was an opportunity to add a new person from the episodes in a commemorate Pack. Many options. The real Gabriel Bell, as mentioned. The leader of the group that took over the Sanctuary. I forget his. He went by initials. I wouldn't mind the bureaucratic lady who was processing people in.
Two {so far} existing Crew that many players already have Immortalized wasn't probably a good way to acknowledge the date. Or even to monetize it, as a business.
Her name was Lee. It was on her badge. It's in the script, too. Having her in my crew would be nice.
