Looks like the fusion crew will be Moll and L'ak. Tier 1, according to the Big Book.

  • So, according to datacore, the voyage skills for phase 1 will be SEC COM. Do we know the skills for phase 2 yet?

I asked this question before but didn't get an answer. Why is "Booker's Ship" not referred to by name? It's called the Nautilus.

Can Booker's Ship please be renamed before the event begins?

This is embarrassing. If not, you may as well change the name of the ship featured in the active endurance event to be called Picard's First Televised Ship...

EDIT: I thought it was an official name... cue the mopey Charlie Brown music as I show myself out... stupid Google..

It's a fanon name, they're doing the right thing not using it.

The super rare this week L’ak is a merge card with the mega legendary recurring Moll to form the new number one voyager. Be sure not to immortalize L’ak and keep the Moll copy separate from the event this week to merge with the L’ak.

Back in September October in the "Ye Olde Space Opera" event thread:
Greetings Captains, with the team we're in the process of improving this feature more and more everyday thanks to your feedback. Some changes that will to come on the next FULL voyage event are the following:

--Featured crew VP multiplier changed from 20% to 30%
--Featured trait VP multiplier changed from 10% to 15%
--Increased amount of base VP rewards for passive voyage activities
--Increased amount of base VP rewards for winning contests in voyage encounters

Please let us know what do you think, and what would you like to see in upcoming updates. LLAP

I haven't seen any difference in subsequent voyage events, including this new one. @STT Community, please can you clarify whether these changes are still in the pipeline, and if so when we can expect to see them?

(My personal feeling is that as they stand these events are a definite 130k-and-out for people who don't want to expend significant amounts of resources and/or schedule their time entirely around the game to an extent that would compromise other commitments, sleep, etc.)

@STT Community Pro tip: do NOT have a forced update the day an event starts. It has the potential to create a ton of problems. As but one example, I hadn’t noticed the force update date in the message and I couldn’t start the event on time because of it. And if you, “that would never happen with STT,” this kind of thing has happened before.

    The first two hours go:

    1 minute, 5 minutes, 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 45 minutes, 1 hour, 1 hour 30 minutes, 2 hours

After that it settles into the normal every two hours pattern, but you have to babysit the early stages (you can use encounter skips to make it slightly less tedious, IMO they're worthless later as you sacrifice too much encounter VP if you use them to e.g. keep going overnight).
  • WebberoniWebberoni ✭✭✭✭✭
This event type is dreadful. It is so tedious, repetitive, and boring. There is more babysitting than factions, without the flexibility that other repetitive events (galaxy, skirmish, and even expeditions) offer. Thresholds and out for me, if I even accomplish that… ugh

I like I get to use crew I never normally would but heck this restart stuff is so needy so it's a big thumbs down from me. :(
  • WebberoniWebberoni ✭✭✭✭✭
This event type should be a single phase.
  • There have been suggestions made for this event type such as, changing the timers, making them less tedious.
The devs had stated they were trying to accomplish an initial “ramp up” similar to shuttles.
I know that folks dont always want to hear this but sending opinion based tickets or suggestions to CS has helped in the past. On several occasions we have done “ticket brigades” this let them know just how many players have similar thoughts.
  • Does anyone have a definitive answer on voyage contents being lost or auto populated to inventory upon phase 1 end? I have some fleetmates stating the contents of their voyage were lost at the phase change?
  • The voyage contents should have been entered into the players inventory when phase 1 ended, the prior voyage events worked that way.
  • weakinteractionweakinteraction ✭✭✭✭✭
There's a delay, though, so it doesn't look like it straight after the phase change.

I don’t mind the event type overall. However, it gets voyage revival token heavy if you want any sort of higher scores. With this event type, I wish there was a way for us to earn antimatter (other than the 5 antimatter for avoiding a hazard). I get that using revival tokens will happen, but a chance for antimatter as a result of winning the gauntlet matchup, or some sort activity mid voyage window (1 hour mark out of a 2 hour voyage example) would be cool.

I went to bed on 340,000 points. My voyage was at 11 hours, with over 3,000 antimatter, and I had just activated a voyage skip.

I somehow finished with less than 350,000 points. How is this possible? I should have made it through 12 hours, which would have taken me well past 350,000.

The same thing happened on the last voyage event.

Passive VP rate is terrible. You earn most of your VP in encounters. And when you use the skip encounter you don't get the encounter VP. Just the increase in multiplier for the next one. If you never played another encounter I'm but surprised you didn't earn a lot.
  • WebberoniWebberoni ✭✭✭✭✭
The 'overnight' tokens definitely don't really help the same way they do for faction events, when the doubles can at least give you 2/3 of the points you'd get if you didn't sleep or set alarms every 3 hours. You pretty much need to play this event non-stop just the clear thresholds without using a variety of boosts, which isn't fun. It's not surprising that if you did much more than clear thresholds you'd finish in the top-1500.
  • weakinteractionweakinteraction ✭✭✭✭✭
The purple fast forward boosts are a much better way to deal with scheduling IMO. Three of those let you do four encounters back to back when you wake up/get home from work/whatever, and you get to the same point in your voyage as a gold encounter skip would have given you, but with all your encounter VP intact.

(And the 50-dilithium 10x boost packs are 3x more likely to drop purple than gold so it should work out availability-wise, although we're obviously not yet in the same place people are with faction event resources of having huge stockpiles.)

By far the worst event, I have fleet mates throwing in the towel and leaving the game. I think this event type is salvageable but devs seem to have no idea what they want it out of it -- it is not properly tuned, and most of the new boosts are rendered useless by the last 2 updates.

Yeah, this was my last event. The new addition is more tedious and requires more micromanaging, as pointed out, using boosts is counter productive, and then to announce the new fusion crew in game after the start of the event, when people would have likely already earnt and fused their final copy made it a good time to justify stepping away.

Agree there needs to be tweaks to the event, but I enjoy the fact you have to think about how to best perform. A nice change from the mindless tapping of Galaxy and Skirmish events.
