Finally showed up.
And disappointed, the Ship Upgrade one is “Captain’s Bridge Supplies” - useless, thought it was going to something to actually upgrade Ships!
As I type this, the time is 8 hours after daily reset. How many players had completed most or all of the daily missions before these Œ's finally were turned on? I had done 10/11, none of which count towards completing the various objectives.
How could this have been avoided? Timely communication from the company and/or me not playing. Time to pick which path the game will take, @STT Community , Ben, Joe, Bendersama, et al.
Do better.

Kind of curious personally why we are getting a Goyage OE when neither part of the Hybrid is Goyage. Usually an OE that gives Event boosts is for the Event type we are having.
Like "Prepare for Faction Event" this week, since the Hybrid starts with Faction.
Just killing my cat. 🤨🤨🤨
"The truth is like a lion; you don't have to defend it. Let it loose; it will defend itself."
I've had two voyage dilemmas today that didn't count towards the event, the first when I did my dailies and the event wasn't up yet, the second after I woke up and the event was live, but I didn't realise it so I hadn't completed the trivial prerequisite (the ship battles I dis for my dailies also didn't count). So I've still got to get through all the dilemmas, plus the current voyage's recall before I can start on the gauntlet battles.
This is a badly designed OE (4 voyage dilemmas as a prerequisite!), made exponentially worse by the team's incompetence at not making it available in the event hub so we could plan for it, and so that our dailies would count towards progress.
We need more time added to the OE to make up for the time lost. We also need @STT Community to answer the community when we point things like this out, as all of this could have been avoided if you were just doing your job.

100% agree and then to top it off after releasing a 14 day Objective Event the hours later turns on the 2 day Objective Event, but the timer has not been adjusted time for some sorrytons @STT Community and some nice voyage fast forwards.
Only spotted the 2 new OE's, some 10hrs after the Dailies reset (5am for me). I'm currently waiting for a current Voyage to return before I can now even START on the Gauntlet set! Also lost the 5x Arena battles which I did first thing from this OE.
Just not good enough, TP/WRG!
Oh, but they *decided* to extend the OE by 8hrs... Wow. Thanks for that.
We should be getting some kinda compensation for THEIR screw-up, not "an extra 8hrs".
I plan my day around getting my dailies done in around 15 minutes, as I will have a Voyage ready for it's Dilemma when I get up, then I send my shuttles, do 5x Arena battles, etc....
If they'd had the OE advertised even the day before (it's usually at least a couple of days minimum) I wouldn't have wasted time and resources later on in the day. (I usually keep the extra purples from the weekend event rewards for fusing/immortalising crew if the OE type requires it, but no - there was nothing uploaded to the game, so I had to open packs for fusing fodder as well! )
Lots of pertinent comments above, so I won't repeat them, but c'mon. You REALLY need to do better than this.

Agreed. I suggest for compensation the following completion rewards from the first half of the new "Prepare for Voyage Event" Œ:
----
----
----
The above would accurately reflect the foregone opportunity due to lack of timely communication and delayed implementation. Any additional compensation, e.g. "sorrytons", would be a sop to alleviate pressure from dissatisfied customers (us, the players).
That being said, I do like chrons. 😉

I can always use more Chronitons. I used 5000+ this past Event to get high enough to get a copy of Rand.

While I agree with your assessment/suggestion, I would really rather they put more effort into keeping these issues from happening in the first place.
Too often, the Devs seem perfectly content with putting more effort into half-hearted apologies and lacking compensation than fixing/preventing the problems in the first place.
When the pattern of incompetence/mistakes/lack of oversight (whether malicious or negligent) and damage control has become run of the mill and expected, there is a fundamental problem. One that needs to be addressed. Enough is enough.
The Captain's Bridge Supplies endurance event also seems quite aggressive, requiring us to complete 200 shuttle missions in just 14 days, which is more than 14 shuttles per day. I believe that is usually the requirement for month-long endurance events.
Even with a half-faction hybrid event that features Federation shuttles, that seems like a lot.
It would also be refreshing to have to run shuttles for another faction other than the Federation, or just make it any completed shuttles without being faction-specific.
I think it's even possible without Federation Faction event shuttles. At least, if you bought the third and fourth shuttle millenia ago. Four waves à four shuttles in 14 days make 224 shuttles. The Faction Event eases it additionally.
Regarding the month long event, it's 250. But you're right, the fortnightly event is more aggressive, since it isn't 125, but it has one difficulty bar more, namely 3 instead of 2 bars.
I finished the Fed shuttles this morning. (But I have all the Factions tanked already...) It's a bit of a grind, but I use the (now overflowing) most basic time boosts to bring the 30s turnaround down to zero for each one - I also keep a handful of unlevelled grey and green crew to make sure I never go above that bottom 14% success rate...
What winds me up is that they know in advance what OE's are coming up, so it should be a simple thing to push the button to launch those OE's. In advance! (We used to get several days advance warning)
If I see there's one coming up that needs fuses and immortalised crew, I can hang on to whatever purple (or green) crew are going to drop either during the Event preceding the OE, or drop in the rewards at the end...
As it stands, adding a few hours onto the end time just doesn't cut it. Not everyone has tanked Factions or all four shuttlebays to speed things up, so it impacts newer players a LOT more. But the facts are; TP failed to launch BOTH OE's on time and aren't owning up to it.
Someone simply isn't doing their job. Either that, or TP have lost more staff as they've headed for the border...
Timely announcements were better once, yes. And we all agree, the higher the difficulty level of Objective Events are the more important is beforehand planning in order to get along with the given time.
To be fair, TP reacted by extending the time period accordingly.

We shouldn't have to tank shuttles in order to complete this mission. Intentionally failing as a strategy feels wrong. You would also need to have four shuttles (which not everyone has) and/or be sending shuttles constantly in order to complete it. This is only going to frustrate players who aren't as fortunate as some of us to have deep rosters/resources. Not to mention the ability to come onto the game every three hours to send the next batch off.
Some of these OEs are already becoming tedious and/or nearly impossible to complete, even for deep rosters. I intentionally hold back crew from being immortalised so I can complete those requirements when needed. This eats up crew slots, which is a waste of valuable space. I have nearly 1000 spots, so it isn't a roadblock for me, but it is still annoying. Most players don't have this luxury.
Same with the Quipment OEs. I have a deep roster of immortalised 5/5 crew and I'm already starting to run out of crew to unlock slots with for that requirement. It also is annoying having to track crew and not use them to prevent accidently unlocking a Quipment slot at the wrong time.
These events are supposed to be challenging, but they're also supposed to be fun too. Being forced to play in this way to complete these OEs isn't fun. It's annoying. I do understand that I could just choose not to complete these OEs, but that also seems counterproductive to the point of them. Some tweaks need to be made to prevent further player frustration, IMHO.
As for the point of advanced notice of upcoming OEs, I'm 100% agree. There's no reason they can't give us more heads-up. But that also goes towards the recurring issue of communication problems with this company. It's almost like they are going out of their way sometimes to NOT have open lines of communication with us. It's not hard to have better and more open lines of communication between players and devs. It only requires effort and for them to care.
Agreed! 👍
It took a long time to tank all my Factions, and nowadays I don't even use them much to earn the bonus chrons from the previous Event's winning Faction! But it means I can complete my Dailies that much faster
The communication issue is something they need to address IMHO. I've read the forum posts stating that the best way to communicate with them is by using Discord, and that infuriates me somewhat. They have a DEDICATED STT Forum right here, and I can understand why a lot of folks wouldn't want to have to download and install an extra piece of software on their device in order to pick up any new updates from TP - especially when all it takes is a few seconds to copy and paste the data on here and via the in-game message system!
@STT Community (it's CTL+C and CTL+V - if you want to pass that on to your tech wizards! 😉)
Along with the copy paste to multiple places many of these announcements follow the same standard template, it’s fill in the blank every time. What is so hard about doing this in more than one place?
